2. I had to research about music magazines
conventions first. Then I had to decide on a
genre to incorporate into my magazine.
I had to research the genre and make sure I
fully understood it before moving on to the
next stage.
I proceeded to sketch out my magazine
designs and plan my photos.
3. I had to organise for models to take my
pictures and then choose pictures that I felt
were suitable for my magazine.
Choosing the pictures were important
because they had to send out the right
message to the audience.
4. I then proceeded to edit my photos and make
them look professional.
Then had to incorporate them into the cover
page, contents page and double page spread.
I had to include magazine conventions such
as sell lines and mastheads and banners.
5. I learnt that by using a DSLR, the manual
functions were easier to use as I could
control the shutter speed and lighting.
It was also good for getting sharp, clean
edged shots of the models.
6. For editing my pictures, I used programmes
such as Photoshop and Gimp. They were
efficient and allowed me to brighten and
contrast my photos.
They also allowed me to use shadows to
create a mysterious effect and highlights to
create solemn emotions through the images.
7. I have used web applications such as
Slideshare and Voicethread to showcase my
research, planning, drafting, final products
and evaluations.
I have used wikispaces to store and present
my work.
