2. GETTING STARTED
I used my first photo shoot to get some ideas of stances, poses
and possible ideas for my final magazine shoot. I played around
with some serious poses, some music poses, some more fashion
based poses and some almost comedic poses. Some of these I
thought worked particularly well and decided I would use in my
final piece, however there were some that didn’t work so well
either. I feel this was an important stage as it helped with the
process of getting the highest quality modelling shots I could
get.
In these photo’s I played around with lighting to see my
weaknesses, as well as the poses etc. Plus this shoot gave me a
little bit of an idea of what to do in terms of styling and fashion.
Further more, I had to have a look at the photos to see what
would be appealing and work well on the cover, contents and
article pages. It helped as I am a member of the target audience
that my magazine is trying to reach, so I could personally judge
what I felt was effective and have an insight into what I was
aiming for while designing it.
