today, we have had her in our
very own studio, telling us why
she makes music that rocks our
world (pardon the cheesy pun).
Lead singer, Jahnaya Halliwell,
from famous band, Bellator, has
recently produced a solo album
with her debut song, ‘Break
down’ hitting the charts in the
UK and America. She has
enthralling talent and so we
expect her to be slightly vain –
we would be, if we had a fan
base of over 10 million and a
killer studio to record in and
make mesmerising music.
Jahnaya has been a pleasure to
have, floating about in an
ethereal sort of way and
captivating the rest of us with
her persona. Her identity seems
to take up the entire room and
the staff is in awe of her self-
assurance and modesty.
She says ‘It’s important to
present your personality and to
have a release system for your
emotions and that’s what my
music is; a way to express
myself in an innovative manner.
It isn’t commercial. Everyone
has an aura that surrounds them
and it’s an intriguing aspect of
our character.’
Well, even with the astounding
music she makes, Jahnaya also
feels that spiritual energy is a
must have in her everyday life.
She hints that her own spiritual
energy has played a key factor
in her upcoming album. Maybe
that’s the secret to her
enchanting new single ‘Break
Down’. Fellow rockers, it’s time
to meditate and get the creative
juices flowing.
‘Although I’m making a solo
album, I could never leave
Bellator. Bellator is what made
me who I am and I will stay true
to it’ Jahnaya commented after
announcing that Bellator also
have a new album coming out.
So many rocking releases
within the next month,
prepare to spend! Though it
must be said, Bellator’s and
Jahnaya’s albums will
definitely be worth the
splurge.
