The student learned several new technologies in creating their magazine product. They learned how to construct a questionnaire to aid their research, how to properly use an SLR camera to take high quality photos, and how to import those photos into Photoshop for editing. Photoshop was integral to designing the magazine, allowing the use of different fonts, colors, layers, and images. The student also had to scan materials for their examiner's blog. In progressing from their preliminary task, the student learned about magazine conventions and how to write in a magazine style. Researching existing magazines helped them improve their practice magazine. They gained experience taking photos and editing them in Photoshop.
