2. Intro
• The film idea that we have chosen includes a
lift. Most of the movie will be filmed in this
location so I felt it would be a good idea to do
some research on how to film in lifts. In this
presentation I will be talking through the
process of getting into the lift and filing that.
3. • At start after the main character has been
filmed walking in etc. To show that idea of
opening an lift and going in; it would be good
to start of my just focusing the camera on the
buttons using amid close up shot, just to give
the audience an idea od what is happening
from the characters point of view.
4. • Next film the character pushing the button,
this again goes with that idea of letting the
audience see what is going on from he
characters point of view. Also action filmed
also keeps the audience on top of what is
going on.
5. • The next step seems pretty straight forward.
Begin to film the character walking into the lift
using a mid length shot.
• TIP: be sure to film them facing forward and
pushing the button. Then film the doors
closing and as soon as that happens cut to the
camera in the lift.
6. • As soon as the doors have closed, cut to the
next shot which is of the button with the
selected floor number it up, just letting the
audience know where this person is heading
and more importantly just to see things from
the characters point of view.
7. • After this step cut to the full view of the lift
and film the character facing forward using a
mid-long shot.
