Existing Product
The product that I thought of creating was a poster. I
would create the poster by looking back at my plans. For
the colour scheme for this poster would be: red, dark grey,
white and black. This poster has images which includes
sound speakers. It has a slogan which includes stars to give
it an effect. It has on the top right the first poster that they
have created for there company. They have mixed the
background colour of red and Black to make it stand out.
They have added shapes. The red colour represents evil.
The rock words that are in bold gives it a strong effect.
They made the speakers dark grey with a shade to it to
make it look realistic. The colour black represents electric
guitars. They have included times at the bottom of the
poster to inspire the audience to watch this band play. They
have added an electric symbol in the bold letter that says
rock, they added a electric symbol because it gives an
powerful symbol for the band.
Existing Product
The rock poster starts of with the bold text saying
“Hard Rock” which represents that this band will
be strong. It shows you peoples hands showing
from either side making a rock symbol with there
hand. In the middle of the poster it has an electric
guitar which tells the audience what instruments
they playing. There is a ribbon around the electric
guitar which says “Rock Music Festival”, this is
telling the audience where this rock band will play.
On either side at the bottom of the poster there
are speakers that tells us what the band will be
using for there music. The colour that they use for
there poster is: red, white, light grey and black.
The red colour represents violence, black
represents the guitar, white represents band
clothing and light grey represents pebble stones.
They use a shaded colour for the speakers and the
bands bracelet to give it an effect. They use a
shape for the bracelet to give it an effect.
Existing Product
This poster is by far different that the other
two posters on the last slides. This posters
main focus is the characters which in this case
is the band. There are many colour is this
poster that stands out and there are limited
colour for this poster. The colours for this
poster are: red, white and black. The red colour
represents violence and blood, the white colour
represents the band clothing which you can see
in this poster and the black colour represents a
band electric guitar. They use different fonts
for this poster such as the colours in the
background (black and white). They have a
shape from either side that joins up ion the
middle. On the top left and right there is an
electric symbol which represents power for this
poster. They use bold letters for this poster to
make it stand out. In this poster you can see
the band playing with a pose to give this
poster an effect.
Existing Product
This poster is different than the other posters
seeing as it’s based in the 1990’s. It is based on
the 1990 because of the colour of this product
seeing as it has a black and white affect to this
poster. The letters for this poster are in bold. It
gives us when it is and what time the band will be
playing. There is an effect by how the word
“charlatans” is reflecting backwards at the
bottom of the poster. The black colour represents
electric guitar and the white colour represents the
band clothing. This poster does not include any
shapes or symbols in the background or on the
letters. It makes the audience want to see this
because it gives you a look at what there is to see,
where to watch and to see it. The letter stands out
and makes the audience want to see it because
it’s clear to see. It does not have any images so
that you know what will happen in the band. They
have added fonts to the text.

Research Evaluation
Research Evaluation
• Give an overview of how you conducted your research. Discuss the strengths and weaknesses
of each method
– Product Research
– Strengths
– Knowing what type of product I will be going for, which will be a film poster.
– Weakness
– Not knowing how to set this as a family poster.
– Questionnaires
Strengths
Knowing what kind of humour people would like and what they are interested in.
Weakness
Not knowing on how to influence the audience with humour and laughter.
– Interviews
– Strengths
– Knowing what peoples are interested in.
– Weakness
– Not knowing how to layout this out for my film poster.
Research Evaluation
– What sort of a response did you get?
The response I got was to include colours, shapes, fonts for the text and characters. This
has given me an idea of what to include for my poster. There have been many responses
to include the colour black which represents the band. Adding shapes to make the poster
looked detailed and amazing, adding characters so then you know who the main audience
would be on the poster and adding different fonts to the text to make the poster look
fancy and detailed.
– How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage
Advantage:
Knowing what colour I want to go for. The shapes which makes the poster more detailed.
The characters as the main design for the poster. Colours that suit best for a band, from
one of the survey’s was black.
Disadvantage:
Not knowing what colours connect best with each other. Not knowing whether or not to
include a logo. Not sure whether or no to include every band instrument and speakers for
the background design of the poster.

  • 2. Existing Product The product that I thought of creating was a poster. I would create the poster by looking back at my plans. For the colour scheme for this poster would be: red, dark grey, white and black. This poster has images which includes sound speakers. It has a slogan which includes stars to give it an effect. It has on the top right the first poster that they have created for there company. They have mixed the background colour of red and Black to make it stand out. They have added shapes. The red colour represents evil. The rock words that are in bold gives it a strong effect. They made the speakers dark grey with a shade to it to make it look realistic. The colour black represents electric guitars. They have included times at the bottom of the poster to inspire the audience to watch this band play. They have added an electric symbol in the bold letter that says rock, they added a electric symbol because it gives an powerful symbol for the band.
  • 3. Existing Product The rock poster starts of with the bold text saying “Hard Rock” which represents that this band will be strong. It shows you peoples hands showing from either side making a rock symbol with there hand. In the middle of the poster it has an electric guitar which tells the audience what instruments they playing. There is a ribbon around the electric guitar which says “Rock Music Festival”, this is telling the audience where this rock band will play. On either side at the bottom of the poster there are speakers that tells us what the band will be using for there music. The colour that they use for there poster is: red, white, light grey and black. The red colour represents violence, black represents the guitar, white represents band clothing and light grey represents pebble stones. They use a shaded colour for the speakers and the bands bracelet to give it an effect. They use a shape for the bracelet to give it an effect.
  • 4. Existing Product This poster is by far different that the other two posters on the last slides. This posters main focus is the characters which in this case is the band. The red colour represents violence and blood, the white colour represents the band clothing which you can see in this poster and the black colour represents a band electric guitar. They use different fonts for this poster such as the colours in the background (black and white). They have a shape from either side that joins up ion the middle. On the top left and right there is an electric symbol which represents power for this poster. They use bold letters for this poster to make it stand out. In this poster you can see the band playing with a pose to give this poster an effect.
  • 5. Existing Product This poster is different than the other posters seeing as it’s based in the 1990’s. It is based on the 1990 because of the colour of this product seeing as it has a black and white affect to this poster. The letters for this poster are in bold. It gives us when it is and what time the band will be playing. There is an effect by how the word “charlatans” is reflecting backwards at the bottom of the poster. The black colour represents electric guitar and the white colour represents the band clothing. This poster does not include any shapes or symbols in the background or on the letters. It makes the audience want to see this because it gives you a look at what there is to see, where to watch and to see it. Weakness Not knowing on how to influence the audience with humour and laughter. – Interviews – Strengths – Knowing what peoples are interested in. – Weakness – Not knowing how to layout this out for my film poster.
  • 26. Research Evaluation – What sort of a response did you get? The response I got was to include colours, shapes, fonts for the text and characters. This has given me an idea of what to include for my poster. There have been many responses to include the colour black which represents the band. Adding shapes to make the poster looked detailed and amazing, adding characters so then you know who the main audience would be on the poster and adding different fonts to the text to make the poster look fancy and detailed. – How did you distribute your survey? Give an advantage and a disadvantage Advantage: Knowing what colour I want to go for. The shapes which makes the poster more detailed. The characters as the main design for the poster. Colours that suit best for a band, from one of the survey’s was black. Disadvantage: Not knowing what colours connect best with each other. Not knowing whether or not to include a logo. Not sure whether or no to include every band instrument and speakers for the background design of the poster.
