2. • Target audience for thrillers depends on
the sub-genre. For example ‘chick flick’
trailer would target young teenage girls as
they would relate to the characters and
emotion in the film.
• Political thrillers would target men and
women because they have an interest and
have knowledge to the news approach is to
a more older audience.
• Action thrillers tend to be aimed at older
men because men enjoy the suspense
within the film. The explosions, the rush
and the weapons used.
• Romance thrillers need such as Cruel
Intentions tend to target the audience to a
young adults because they can relate to
the drugs, sex, alcohol and the twisted
minds/plot that are within the film. It tends
to get a more female skew, the narrative
focuses on love which females are
interested in.
3. • The cinema audience in 2008 was
predominantly young, with the 7-
34 age group which is 40% of the
population making up 64% of the
audience.
• Teenagers and young adults were
the most frequent cinema-goers in
2008, the table shows the pattern
from pervious years.
• As you can see in the table
predominantly the main character
in these films are females, this
already has a attachment to the
film for females viewers and the
same goes for males. I can take this
to consideration that if I aim to go
for females viewers I would use a
female protagonist.
4. My target audience are
going to a younger audience
between the age of 16-20 or
more. My main characters
will come from a teenager
categories so this will
provide me a connection to
the adenine. My gender of
my target audience isn't
exact as my age range
although the gender of my
target audience will be
mainly girls, though boys
could be attracted to the
film also. Pic of friends
