 CIT was originated by JOHN
FLANAGAN in 1950.
 Learning –teaching process.
 A research data collection
method.
 The critical and the steps which are useful for analyzing
of the event is known as critical incident technique.
 According to Flanagan,
• Critical incident is defined as extreme effective
behavior or ineffective behavior to attain the general aims
of the activity.
• Incident means any observable human activity that is
sufficiently complete in itself.
