2. Research
Strengths:
• I was able to research a lot of various music videos and genres of music to see how
they changed the appearance of the actors
• I was able to get a lot of research and information on my target audience as I got
to see what they like
• I was able to see how well each video did and then it told me what worked well
with some videos and what didn't
Weaknesses:
• I wasn't able to get as much specific research as I wanted to
• Some of the research might not be reliable
• I wasn't able to see how they made some of the videos
None the less without doing my research before I believe I would have struggled to
complete my FMP work

4. Planning
Strengths:
• I knew exactly what I was making and where I was going
• I knew where I could film and where I couldn't this saved time
• I could see what I was going to make before it was even finished
Weaknesses
• Time consuming as it took a lot of time to find information about my
locations, however this was very useful
5.
6. Time Management
I believe that I managed my time management through this project very good
compared to other projects that I have done in the past as everything was
done on time like I had planned the only issue I had was trying to put my work
on display as I had some computer problems. Next time I do a project I will
make sure that I have a spear computer/ laptop available for me to use so I
don't have this issue happen again. Lastly, I believe that I didn't need any
more time as my product is too the best of my ability that I can make at this
stage of my career.
7. Technical Qualities
Maroon 5 - Maps (Explicit) (Official
Music Video) - YouTube
My work compared to the original music video are two
very different videos when it comes to editing skills,
colour schemes and props used. For example, I had my
actor look more mysterious for the audience whereas
the other producer has made their actor look more
ordinary this is so the audience will interact with that
actor. The difference between the two is mainly the
props and costumes that were used as we both did the
same actions as each other as they were both acting
irrationally during the video. The main thing that makes
mine different is the editing skills as I have created my
video to be quicker as I have added in more transitions
than the original and I have also made my video express
more emotions than the other one. furthermore, the
two videos have different backgrounds and surroundings
I picked the day out specially to show this as I wanted it
to match the mood of which the actor was feeling.
8. Aesthetic Qualities
I believe that my work looks good as it was creative and also time consuming. The reason to why
I believe it was creative was because I had to choose the props and costumes to match the actor
the I had to choose the weather that I wanted to match the song and the mood of the actor.
The main area that I like of my video was the camera angles that I have used as it makes my
overall product look more professional for the target audience watching and also how my actor
goes in time with the video. My improvements however for this video would be I could have
included more actors as there wasn't too much going on throughout the video. The main
strengths of my video would be the song all the actors where familiar with the song and also the
transitions of the video where very good as it matched the song however one of the weaknesses
would be that it was time consuming and also some of the footage was a bit low quality as the
camera was shaking in some of the scenes.
9. Audience Appeal
My target audience for my product was between the ages of 16-24 I have tried to make it
interesting for them as I have used the colour scheme that they like in other products. It also has
a statement for the target audience in the song as it will encourage them to speak out when
going through something as I have done some research about the lyrics of the song and more.
Furthermore, I believe that the costume that I have chosen my actor to wear will interest my
audience in the product as this is what fashion they will be wearing today, and it will make them
think that they are in the video with the actor as they will think they are going through the same
thing.

14. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– Good transitions
– Good costumes
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– The area that I filmed in
15. Peer Feedback Summary
• If I could do it again, I would have changed the areas that I filmed in
and made it something a bit more interesting for the audience
• I will use a better camera and use a tripod to keep the camera still
when filming
• I would have more actors when I make something like this again as
there wasn't much happing in many of the scenes and it got boring
quickly as there wasn't much going on
• For the song that I chose I think I should have changed the weather to
more of a rainy day to match the mood and lyrics of the song to match
up as it didn't make much sense if the actor was upset and angry if
the weather was bright and sunny
