…Promotion, and
advertisement.

simplicity, I will
“Merge” certain
purposes.
Advertisements
advertise and
promote…
…And facts
educate and
inform.
“Country” music is
beginning to fade.
Other genres are
beginning to rise…
…But this magazine could
save “Country” music.
Competition
Competition will
be a threat.
Though it is not a
large threat…
…It is a threat
all the same.
BBC Music
Magazine is just
one example.
They are big showers
of “Classical” music…
…Yet the lack of
popularity may save us.
Kerrang! focuses
on “Rock” music.
That, added to the popularity of
Rock and that Kerrang! allows
for digital subscriptions…
…Means that this magazine
will be a large threat.
Country Music will
also be a large threat.
This magazine has lots
of enjoyable aspects…
…And its size will
make it hard for a new
magazine to rise up.
Form And
Genre
Country Folks is a
magazine in the
“Country” music genre.
However, there shall also be “Film”
features such as music reviews…
…And “Lifestyle”
features such as
artist reviews.
There must
be a certain
length to this.
There must be an even
number of pages…
…And 26-32 will
suffice.
There is also the
problem of frequency.
The time periods
must not be too long
or short…
…So a week will do.
Target
Audience
With target
audience, there is
much to consider.
Middle-aged adults
are a good audience…
…And the magazine must
appeal to all genders and
ethnicities.
“Target Audience” will
influence the magazine’s
price.
It must not be too
high or too low…
…So £2.99 is a good
price.
But ultimately, it is the
Country music fans that are
the biggest target audience.
Said people may also be
emotionally stable,
hardworking, and outgoing…
…Or feel “Nostalgia” from
the music.
A “Secondary
Audience” isn’t the
main priority, but must
be considered.
Secondary audiences have similar
traits to the target audience, but
differ as well…
…So broader
assumptions
can be made.
The target audience may
look something like this…
…And the secondary audience
may look something like this.

1-Front Cover
One feature to include in the
magazine is a “Masthead”.
This will show off the
magazine’s title…
…And it must be
expressive
enough to do so.
A slogan will help too. In this case, the slogan will be:
A cover image is vital too.
I must find a simple
yet effective balance.
The “Z” reading shape
is traditional and
effective…
…So I may stick
with it.
Cover lines will show
what is inside…
…And inform
the readers of
what’s to come.
As well as the very
important legal
details…
…There is also a need
for a colour scheme.
I must stick with
the “Country”
theme…
…So I may use
something
like this.
Content: Part 2-
Double Page Spread
"Double-
page spreads"
cover two pages.
They contain features
such as interviews…
…And there is
lots to consider.
Obviously, I will
need a title.
A particular font
must be used…
…And the size of the
text must be just right.
A “Stand First” will
introduce the
interview…
…And clear things
up for the reader.
Additionally, a “Drop Cap”… …Will make the interview
stand out more.
The text will need to
stand out, so different
colours will work.
A pull quote is needed
for knowing if you are
interested or not.
And for the colour scheme,
I need to stay on theme…
…So I will choose something like
this:
I need to have a photo
of the interviewed
person.
Said photo will just
be of the head and
upper body…
…As this will be engaging
to the readers.
Other important details to
feature include:
Copyright info,
website links, page
numbers, bylines…
…Features and reviews
of country music…
…Et cetera.
Content: Part
3-Other Details
The name of the magazine
is simple yet effective in its
own way.
However, I will need a font. However, I will be able
to use all of them in
various areas…
Resources
And Personnel
This is a big task, and
I can’t do it alone.
I won’t just need people for this task…
…But equipment too.
There must be
the best
pictures of
people.
I will need cameras,
printers and ink…
…Computers,
screens and mice.
Photoshop will help us
edit and alter images…
PowerPoint and Word will
help give instructions…
…And OneDrive and Zoom
will help us perform
meetings and discuss ideas.
Of course, people are
necessary here too.
There are two
needed types:
Specialists…
…And generalists.
“Editors-in-chief” are
in charge, and
manage the system.
“Graphic designers” create
pictures, and edit photos.
“Writers” create text, and
fix errors in other text.
We must also touch
on post-production.
There are jobs which
cover this section…
…And every single one
of these jobs is vital.
Distribution
And Marketing
“Country Folks” is a local
magazine.
This limits
potential range…
…However, this may
actually be advantageous.
Social media is a cheap
method of doing things,
which makes it worthwhile.
Compared
to TV
advertising,
newspaper
advertising
is much
more cost-
effective… …And radio
advertising will be the
best method of all.
Distribution may be more
of a challenge, however…
…So I will try to get the
magazine sold in local shops…
…As well as “Country”
music venues.
Conclusion
In conclusion, there is
much to be done.
We must think about
genre, competition,
purpose, etc…
…But it can be done.
It will be done.

  • 2. Welcome, everybody. I shall be telling you about what needs to be done here. Let us begin.
  • 4. This magazine is multi-purpose. There will be entertainment… …Informing, education… …Promotion, and advertisement.
  • 5. For time and simplicity, I will “Merge” certain purposes. Advertisements advertise and promote… …And facts educate and inform.
  • 6. “Country” music is beginning to fade. Other genres are beginning to rise… …But this magazine could save “Country” music.
  • 8. Competition will be a threat. Though it is not a large threat… …It is a threat all the same.
  • 9. BBC Music Magazine is just one example. They are big showers of “Classical” music… …Yet the lack of popularity may save us.
  • 10. Kerrang! focuses on “Rock” music. That, added to the popularity of Rock and that Kerrang! allows for digital subscriptions… …Means that this magazine will be a large threat.
  • 11. Country Music will also be a large threat. This magazine has lots of enjoyable aspects… …And its size will make it hard for a new magazine to rise up.
  • 13. Country Folks is a magazine in the “Country” music genre. However, there shall also be “Film” features such as music reviews… …And “Lifestyle” features such as artist reviews.
  • 14. There must be a certain length to this. There must be an even number of pages… …And 26-32 will suffice.
  • 15. There is also the problem of frequency. The time periods must not be too long or short… …So a week will do.

  • 18. With target audience, there is much to consider. Middle-aged adults are a good audience… …And the magazine must appeal to all genders and ethnicities.
  • 19. “Target Audience” will influence the magazine’s price. It must not be too high or too low… …So £2.99 is a good price.
  • 20. But ultimately, it is the Country music fans that are the biggest target audience. Said people may also be emotionally stable, hardworking, and outgoing… …Or feel “Nostalgia” from the music.
  • 21. A “Secondary Audience” isn’t the main priority, but must be considered. Secondary audiences have similar traits to the target audience, but differ as well… …So broader assumptions can be made.

  • 24. One feature to include in the magazine is a “Masthead”. This will show off the magazine’s title… …And it must be expressive enough to do so.
  • 25. A slogan will help too. In this case, the slogan will be: A cover image is vital too. I must find a simple yet effective balance.
  • 26. The “Z” reading shape is traditional and effective… …So I may stick with it. Cover lines will show what is inside… …And inform the readers of what’s to come.
  • 27. As well as the very important legal details… …There is also a need for a colour scheme. I must stick with the “Country” theme… …So I may use something like this.
  • 28. Content: Part 2- Double Page Spread
  • 29. "Double- page spreads" cover two pages. They contain features such as interviews… …And there is lots to consider.
  • 30. Obviously, I will need a title. A particular font must be used… …And the size of the text must be just right.
  • 31. A “Stand First” will introduce the interview… …And clear things up for the reader. Additionally, a “Drop Cap”… …Will make the interview stand out more.
  • 32. The text will need to stand out, so different colours will work. A pull quote is needed for knowing if you are interested or not. And for the colour scheme, I need to stay on theme… …So I will choose something like this:
  • 33. I need to have a photo of the interviewed person. Said photo will just be of the head and upper body… …As this will be engaging to the readers.
  • 34. Other important details to feature include: Copyright info, website links, page numbers, bylines… …Features and reviews of country music… …Et cetera.
  • 36. The name of the magazine is simple yet effective in its own way. However, I will need a font. However, I will be able to use all of them in various areas…

  • 41. This is a big task, and I can’t do it alone. I won’t just need people for this task… …But equipment too.
  • 42. There must be the best pictures of people. I will need cameras, printers and ink… …Computers, screens and mice.
  • 43. Photoshop will help us edit and alter images… PowerPoint and Word will help give instructions… …And OneDrive and Zoom will help us perform meetings and discuss ideas.
  • 44. Of course, people are necessary here too. There are two needed types: Specialists… …And generalists.
  • 45. “Editors-in-chief” are in charge, and manage the system. “Graphic designers” create pictures, and edit photos. “Writers” create text, and fix errors in other text.

  • 48. “Country Folks” is a local magazine. This limits potential range… …However, this may actually be advantageous.
  • 49. Social media is a cheap method of doing things, which makes it worthwhile. Compared to TV advertising, newspaper advertising is much more cost- effective… …And radio advertising will be the best method of all.
  • 50. Distribution may be more of a challenge, however… …So I will try to get the magazine sold in local shops… …As well as “Country” music venues.
  • 52. In conclusion, there is much to be done. We must think about genre, competition, purpose, etc… …But it can be done. It will be done.
