2. 1. In what ways does your
media product use,
develop and challenge
forms and conventions of
real media products?
The media product that I
created was a music
magazine that used forms
and conventions such as
graphics, text, images, text
layout, style and format
and many more…

and added them into my
music magazine cover.

Artist eye contact is a conventional of
a music magazine to make the reader
feel more personal to the audience.
The font of my masthead is
unique and suits my
magazine is a creative way.
My masthead is half behind
the artist which is a
common convention as it
makes the magazine more
aesthetically pleasing.
Selling lines are a good way to
attract buyers to buy the
magazine. Therefore making
more sales and profit.
To show
information on
what my
magazine is
all about.
5. The forms of my music magazine cover include:
Colours: The colours used in my cover are featured
throughout the rest of my magazine. The colours are
orange/brown, black and white as they contrast very
well together and relate well to an acoustic
magazine.
Images: I took my own images in a photo-shoot and
added them into photoshop to a customization of my
liking. It is conventionally positioned central in the
page.
Text: I used a range of sizes for the text as larger
and bolder text is more engaging and captures the
audience attention. The smaller text is mainly more
detail of the main titles and headings.
Fonts: I mainly kept my fonts the same throughout
my magazine. For my masthead, I used a unique
and creative font to stand out attract the audience.
The masthead is conventionally positioned at the top
of the magazine.

9. The forms of my music magazine cover include:
Colours: I used the same colours as in
my cover to keep in with house style that
im doing. This then gives a more
comfortable and recognizable feel to it.
Images: I only used one main large image
for my contents page as I thought it would
look better than having a load of small
images on it. I put most of my photos on
my article as It looked a lot better on
there rather than on my contents page.
Text: The text I used related most to the
information within the magazine in
context but visually linked to the font used
in my cover. The text I used is bold and
simple so it is easy and clear to read.

13. Forms of my music magazine article includes:
The forms in my article page are similar to both my cover and contents pages.
They allow the page to meet the needs of the target audience and appeal to
them.
Colours: I used the same colours as in my cover and contents to keep in
with the house style. This then gives more of a comfortable and
recognizable feel to the magazine and allows the pages to all be connected.
Images: I Used one main image as it is conventional for a music magazine
articles. I also have two small other photos underneath the main image as I
needed images for my magazine.
Text: The text is the main focus of this page so I used a clear and balck font
that allowed it to be readable against the background. The main article text
is in a small size font and the masthead title is quite large so that It would
stand out and make it bold.
