3. I then opened the photo that I
wanted to use and fit it onto
the page by resizing and
cropping the image.
4. I then used the brush tool to
hide the white strip of paper in
the background of the image.
This made the background
more consistent.
5. I then used the levels tool to
make the photo brighter as the
lighting was initially quite dark.
6. I then adjusted the colours of
my image using the colour
balance tool to add a pinker
tone
7. I then used the object selection
tool to create a cut out image
of the balloon that I can added
to the main image so I have a
clear image that I will add my
text into later on.
8. I added and moved the balloon
into place so it was were I
wanted it in the image
9. I then added a circle using the
shape tool to fit the size of the
balloon
10. I then clipped the balloon to
the shape. I did this so the
edges weren’t blurry from the
object selection tool
11. After that, I used the eraser
tool on the circle so that it
would look like the model was
holding the balloon.
12. I used the brush tool with a
dark pink colour to add
shadows the balloon to make it
look more natural in the photo.
13. I then when back and
sharpened my image by adding
a sharpening filter onto it. I
didn’t look the slight blur that
the model had.
14. I then used the object selection
tool again to get another
balloon that wasn’t blurry from
a different image that I took
15. I then used the brush too add
shadows to the image after I
placed the balloon in their
16. I then used the brush tool again
to make the light on the
balloon less obvious
17. I then used the object selection
tool again to add another
balloon into the photo
18. I then used the sharpening
filter so the edges weren’t
blurry
19. I then used the brush tool to
add a shadow to the balloon
20. I then added another balloon to
the image and using the object
selection tool
I also used hue tool to change
the colours of the balloons to
fit my colour scheme
35. I then cropped the image into a
square so it would fit onto my
double page spread.
36. I then used the object selection
tool to erase the background of
the image so I could add my
own background.
37. I added a background with
confetti behind the model.
38. I then selected the background
of the background using the
colour range selection tool so I
could quickly select everything
that’s black.
39. I added the layer without the
background over the model so
she would look like she is in the
confetti. I then erase some of
the pieces as it was covering
her too much.
40. I then adjusted the colour
balance so the model would
look like she was in a pinked
lighted room.
