Audience profiling is a task all media instructions need to perform
when creating a new product to launch onto the market be it a
magazine, film, album, website etc.
When defining an audience factors that must be considered include:
Age, Gender, Race, Sexuality, Education, Occupation, Annual Income,
Disposable Income
Current lifestyle/ Aspirational or desired lifestyle, culture, media
interests, buying habits, loyalty to brands
3. DEMOGRAPHICS
A Higher management, bankers, lawyers, doctors and other professionals.
B Middle management, teachers, creative and media people eg. Graphic designers etc.
C1 Office supervisors, junior managers, nurses, specialist clerical staff – white collar.
C2 Skilled manual workers, plumbers, builders – blue collar
D Semi-skilled and unskilled manual workers
E Unemployed, students, pensioners, casual workers
