GQ Fashion Magazine Masthead Cover lines and Masthead- in various fashion magazines, front cover which include the masthead (title of a newspaper or magazine at the head of the first or editorial page) are given a bolder and brighter range of colours in order to contrast or complement with the overall outfit of the model or just to go with the main theme which the magazine represents, this obviously varies as different magazines have different themes, same with seasons.
- 4. GQ Fashion Magazine Body language is used to make the models more appealing by posing in different natural ways, shots targeted at the models body language are usually taken from a longer angle as it is done to show various body gestures. The models are mostly seen looking directly into the camera or posing in a very attractive way to promote the look they are selling.
- 5. GQ Fashion Magazine High key lighting is a variation of lighting for film, television or photography which aims to reduce the lighting ratio in the selected scene. The main reason for such lighting to be used in current days photos (especially fashion magazines) is to make the models look more attractive and to make them stand out. The use of high key lighting can be spotted by looking at the strong shadow behind the model.
- 6. GQ Fashion Magazine Themes Can vary depending on the magazines and their target audience, for example some magazines such as vogue can have a street ware theme which usually consists of trendy and fancy designs for the younger generation.

GQ Fashion Magazine Clothing and colours scheme can be tied with the theme as the colour scheme will change depending on the main theme of the magazine, the color scheme can also blend in with the clothing and the theme or be more vibrant, yet again this all depends on the season and the magazine.
- 8. GQ Fashion Magazine Issue date and price usually positioned below the barcode and is used to give the audience the information regarding on how recent the magazine is and how much it costs.

GQ Fashion Magazine Positioning Statement also known as a slogan is something that is used to stand out from other magazines, its usually a standalone line of catchy text that will allow the customer/audience to distinguish the particular magazine from other ones. It is usually placed above or just below the masthead to make sure people see it and read it.
- 10. GQ Fashion Magazine Representation: This is a very stereotypical fashion magazine cover as it includes all of the generic codes and conventions. The target audience of this fashion magazine must be men aged from 26+ as the model used on the cover is an actor aged 41 who is well known by a lot of people, the theme of the magazine is also “informal formal wear” which can attract young businessmen/ office workers who seek the smart casual look. Overall the magazine cover seems to be very attractive and rather effective of the advertisement technique.
