Initial Ideas
Our initial idea was to do gum and we came up with a few names and
slogans wecould use such as: Power Gum, Fresh and Yummy Gummy.
These ideas were good but we eventually came to a mutual agreement
on the name ‘Zypher Gum’ this was because it was unique, original and
unseen before. We all liked it so it was the bestone. Our advertising
company was called ‘Echo Productions ‘. We used this idea as it was
going to be unique and interesting and fun to make a logo for as we
could have things echoing and different effects.
OverallI think if I did this again I wouldn’tpick the name ‘Zypher’ for our
gum. This is because it was rather similar to another groups therefore it
felt like we were producing the same product. I would change it to be for
a more sporty audience and makethe name relevant to that and I would
create a couple of gums that had different flavours for differentpeople.
Role
My role in our team was the trailer co-ordinator and the director of the
trailer. I chosewhich camera angle we weregoing to do and the shots

2. that I picked were. I also designed the public train printad for our
‘Zypher Gum’:
I am definitely happy with my role as it was fun and helped me show
what I am good at, directing a film. Itis my strength and this is why I did
it. I helped my team to create a good trailer (A cinema one), and it
played a crucial role in our pitch when it came down to selling our
product. Jordan took the role as designer and film editor. He designed
our website banner and poster. These were done really well on
Photoshop and I’mglad I had Jordan in my group to do this as he did it
so well and it looked very professional.

Will took the role of the actor and did great. He did exactly whatI asked
and more. He managed to portray my thoughts of whatI wanted to
happen in the trailer into real life. He acted well and took it upon himself
to di it in the first place which Jordan and I wouldn’thave done. I am
grateful for this as I know how hard it is to act well in trailers and filming
as I have done it before and it isn’t easy to get it rightall of the time.

3. Working as a team
In my opinion we all worked very well as a team and didn’t argueat all.
Everything went very well and we didn’t run into any expected issues as
we had expected to with the filming and editing of the trailer. Itall ran
smoothly and we werevery lucky. Everyonepulled their weight doing
their own bit such as: acting, filming or editing. As a team we got on very
well and when it came down to what to do, or if there was a issuewith

4. the clip we were going to film we would discuss it and soughtit out
quickly and maturely so we could move on and get the job done. Overall
we worked very well together and we did everything we needed to
quickly and got it done to a standard we were all very happy with.
My print advert
I feel that my advertcame out pretty well. I managed to do exactly what
I wanted, which was to have the man smiling holding our gum. This
came out better than I had actually imagined so I was very happy with
that. My Print Ad included different aspects such as:

Group pitch
Our group pitch went well, it definitely did not flow as well as I had
wanted it to, but in the end it went very well and I feel that my group did
great, spokeclearly and used our scriptwell. We all read our parts of the

5. scriptwell and presented ourselves positively and in a formal way. In the
end I felt that we managed to deliver what we had to say with passion
and enthusiasmand completed our presentation without fault. While
speaking I was able to engage the audience while I spokeinstead of
staring at the script. We managed to answer all of the questions well and
with confidence. If I was to change anything I would improvethe quality
of the script as I felt it was not as detailed and as long as I wanted it to
be.
