1. I would say that the best parts of the whole thing were the creation of the bus, magazine, and website
adverts, they came out well. I like that they are colourful bring and stand out. They all look the same but
also all have something different about them. I came up with the main design and we added it to each of
the adverts. The font stayed the same throughout we even added it to the prezi to make it all match.
Our TV advert could have been better. There wasn’t enough filming to make it the right amount of time and
there could have been more time spent as a group editing it together and inputting different ideas. Also the
first time we did the presentation it didn’t go as well as planned, but we did it again, putting more into the
prezi and tidying up the script. We also practiced more and managed to get a higher grade in the end.
Next time I think we should spend more time going into further details and make sure we all know exactly
what we are doing and what each of us have to do. We could do this by making a list each of what we are
doing for each person, and to make sure everyone is happy with outcome of each of the groups work we
would give feedback and make changes. This way everyone is involved and getting things done quick. I’m
happy with the final design that the whole group came up with everything we did came out well with the
consent from the rest of the group. We started with are original idea and developed it and made changes.
We used Photoshop for outlining and cutting out the elephant and adding it to the packaging, we used
Premiere to edit our own chew goo adverts and then chose the best one and we chose pezi because it
looks better than doing a power point. The colours are bright stand out. It’s different and It catches the eye
so yes I think that it is aesthetically pleasing.
We came up with the name and slogan after we came up with the idea of the product. Chew goo just sums
up what are gum is. Goo filled gum. The name is also short and catchy. The slogan also goes with are gum
as there is 8 different coloured and flavoured gum so it’s a surprise every time and you don’t know what
gum you have till you chew. Also we made it a question so it makes people feel involved.
I made this goo effect on paint and made and outline of when it was going to look like. I then transferred
this on to Photoshop where I clean up the edges by erasing them out. I then made the goo outline have no
background so I could add the chewgoo logo that i had just made to any other back ground I wanted to for
example the black background for the bus advert. On Photoshop I also added text ‘Chew goo’ to the front
of the logo and changed it as we wished. However the dripping goo with the same colours stayed this way
throughout the project because this was our main attraction to the product. We chose to did this print ad
the way we did because it is bright colourful and stands out. It not like any other adverts that I have seen,
people will be attracted and intrigued by this new design that no one has seen before. This will encourage
them to buy our product.
Overall as I group I think we worked really well, we got on and if someone had an idea we would listen.
However if someone came up with an idea and the rest of the group didn’t like it then we would say or
change the idea and make something better out of it. I think the thing we did best was taking an idea and
developing it and making it better by adding ideas to it. The presentation went better the second time as
we put more effort into it and spent more time practicing. The first time there was a lot of laughing and it
wasn’t well prepared.
Chew goo evaluation.
