3. • We showed our class our first rough cut of our
horror teaser trailer ‘Adeline’.
• My group and I have received some helpful
comments that will help us improve our
trailer.
• We have used a survey to get feedback on our
trailer through the a tick box rating elements
of our trailer and through putting a positive
and negative comment section.
4. Tick Box
• Using our survey it seems that our strongest
points are:
• - Sound
• - Camera work
• From the tick boxes we used we know we
need to improve:
• - Editing
• - Mise en Scene
5. Positive Comments
Through looking at the comments on our audience feedback
sheet we know that people think we have used typical horror
conventions and made it clear that our movie is of the horror
genre. Other groups also said that we used sound well, such as
the baby crying as it sounds realistic and the use of the scream
that appears along with the main title of the film.
The people also liked the costume and make-up that we used on
Maddie as they thought it looked professional and emphasized
that her character is a little girl.
6. Improvements
• The other groups in our class also gave us comments on how
we can improve.
• Something we have been told is weak about our trailer is that
it is not obvious what our film is about and what role Maddie
plays within it.
• We have also been told that our titles look a little
unprofessional.
• We also got low ratings on our editing as some of the filters
we have used such as ‘night to day’ are too strong and are
therefore making our shots look a little purple.
7. To Improve
• To improve we are going to go back to castle field house
and film some more shots to make it more clear to the
audience what our film is about.
• The shots we are going to include are all POV (point of
view):
- Maddie walking up to the house
- Maddie walking down the hallway of the house
- Maddie walking up the stairs of the house.
• We are also going to try and find a more appropriate font
for our trailer that connotes horror and violence from
