As Asian MUSIC and ARTS are performance-based
disciplines, effective learning occurs through active
experience, participation, and performance, creative
expression, aesthetic valuation, critical response, and
interpretation. The skills that are developed include
reading/analyzing, listening/observing, performing,
(singing, using musical instruments, movement, acting,
and playing, using different art materials, techniques
and processes, responding, composing, and creating.

11. COURSE DESCRIPTION - HEALTH 8
The HEALTH curriculum, conducted in conjunction
with the Physical Education program, is designed to help
individuals become sensitive, healthy persons who take
an active role in protecting, maintaining, and improving
their health. Students study STI’s, AIDS,nutrition,
alcohol and drugs, CPR, circulatory system, eating
disorders, and fitness.
