The document discusses technologies learned from constructing a product using a Nikon DSLR camera. Specifically, the author learned to manipulate RAW files in Photoshop to brighten images, use a tripod and slow shutter speed to create a blur effect, and use layering, cropping and the magic wand tool in Photoshop. They also learned to use Illustrator, InDesign and how to embed a PowerPoint presentation into a blog using Slideshare.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
1. Question 6: What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
2. In terms of using the Nikon DSLR camera I was already advanced in
comparison to my peers, this is because I already do Photography, this
meant I was at an advantage as I was able to manipulate my photography
by putting it as a RAW file which meant I was able to brighten the lights if
needed on Photoshop, although I didn’t need to. Also for my DPS I tried to
be very creative and different which led me to make the shutter speed of
the camera very slow by doing so I had to use a tripod because the human
hand cannot stay still enough not to effect my images, this allowed a blur
effect, which represented my cover stars story, the idea of two people in
one, by capturing a single image that looks like two meant I not only
created an interesting image but allowed me to portray my idea precisely.
3. When using Adobe soft wares I learnt a lot, Illustrator, In design were all new to me
therefore took some time but eventually it became very simple and straight forward to use
after watching some YouTube videos explaining more complex actions on these soft
wares. On Photoshop I was able to use cropping, layering and the magic wand to
produce the pictures for my contents page, these were successful techniques to use
because Photoshop purposely was intended for righting the wrongs by having these
techniques I was able to lower the image and add on some extra grey to the top of the
image as when doing my photography I had very little space on top of my models head
which meant when I was trying to add my masthead a lot of my model head was then
covered by her head, by adding more space the same colour as the entire background
allowed me to add a slogan, masthead and so on all on top of my image.

4. Step one: produce A
PowerPoint
Create a PowerPoint
presentation
Step two:
Login to Slideshare.com
Step three: Upload
your PowerPoint
Just simply upload your saved PowerPoint
presentation for a web based slide show
This helped me because some of my images
came with a black or white background I
was able to use the magnetic tool to get rid
of everything I didn’t want. However I didn’t
get to manipulate the exposure, white
balance or ISO of any of my images because
I didn’t need to those that were taken in a
RAW file format I didn’t need to change
anything, I just needed to overlap and crop
out small things. When embedding the
presentation for my proposal onto my
BlogSpot through slide share was too
something new that I learnt because it turned
just a usual PowerPoint presentation into a url
file and then I was able to embed it onto my
BlogSpot
