2. Photography and Lighting
To make my music magazine I have to think about my photo-
shoot. I used a Nikon series to take my images which was
very difficult for me to use at the beginning but after a while I
got used to it. Taking my images with this camera, I have to
set the setting at the right resolution to get a little bet of high
key. This is because my genre is R&B and this music industry
like to see more of face expression.
3. Advantages and disadvantages of using
photography
Using Nikon series have given me positives and negatives when taking
images for my product. This photography have a high quality image
and the colour reproduction is very high which makes it profession. In
addition, the picture sharpness is amazing because you can choose the
quality lens.
However, it can get trickery to use this Nikon series because it perform
very slow when taking pictures depending on the light conditions.
Lastly, it has a quite small and compact which can be very difficult to
navigate around.
4. Photoshop
After taking my images with Nikon series I used Photoshop Cs6 to edit my
images and make my music magazine. I struggled at the begin to use the
software since it was my first time using it but practicing it constantly help me
to adjust. Overall, I have learnt new skills after using this software. For
examples, I have learnt how to ‘lasso tool’ to crop an image background, use
‘layer style’ and use 3D to create my masthead.
5. The Advantages and Disadvantages of Photoshop
Cs6
There are many benefits and drawbacks that Photoshop Cs6 offers when you use them.
This software has a blazing fast performance because it is quicker to edit hundreds and
thousands of pictures and videos at the same. This helps you to arrange them neatly and
use them. With Photoshop Cs6, it is easy to edit photos since it have a better ‘crop’ and
you can ‘move the tool’ around how you like.
However, Photoshop can be very frustrating when you do not save your work on the
right format. This is because you can loose your work and something's your work can
cropped when you logo on a different computer.
6. Using a search engine
When doing my preliminary task and my main task, I used different search engine
such as Google to find more information about the music industry. This was
effective since it is quicker and more reliable. Given you the latest news from
different angle. On the other hand, this can be very slow when searching for
information.
7. Programs used for presentation
While completing this course, I used different types of soft wares to
answer my question. This includes, Prezi, Slideshare, Powtoon,
PowerPoint and word document. Slideshare is a web base hosting
service which allows people to upload files from their documents. This
can be view itself or embed on a different sites. Using Slideshare
personally was simple for me because it easy to transfer your work from
PowerPoint onto it.
8. Programs used for presentation 2
Prezi was other program that I used in my coursework. It is a storytelling
tool to present your planning on a virtual canvas which involves using
internet. I love using this program since it was simple to use and there is a
backup for your work in case you loose it. Powtoon on the other side, is a
cloud base software which allows you to create animation videos and
presentations. It is nice to use but it is very difficult when you want to
transfer it on a different software such as weebly.
9. Programs used for presentation 3
I used weebly for my project’s website. It was easy to navigate around quickly
and choose the right theme. Weebly was sometimes trickery to use when the
search engine is slowing down. Lastly, I sometimes used YouTube to help me
find videos when I am struggling to use Photoshop Cs6 or any of the other soft
wares.
