2. Snake
• Denotation – The denotation for
snake could be a scaly, legless,
sometimes venomous reptile
• Connotation - On the other hand
the connotation could be evil or
danger for a snake

3. Flag
• Denotation – The denotation is a piece of
cloth or similar material, typically oblong
or square, attachable by one edge to a
pole or rope and used as the symbol or
emblem of a country or institution.
• Connotation – The connotation can be
used in reference to the country to which
a person has allegiance

4. Gun
• Denotation – A denotation
of a gun would be danger,
harm, death
• Connotation – The
connotation is a gun

5. Poster Analysis 1
This poster show the person in the front of the poster
does not care about the chaos going on in the
background, he is acting as if nothing happened.
It represents him as the person who may have cause the
chaos to in sue, and he might be reveling in the mayhem.
The poster also has dark themes showing that this film
could be dark and not meant for younger audiences

6. Poster Analysis 2
This poster has light colored themes, showing that it
would be a happy and bright movie that would be aimed
at a younger audience
It also shows the characters as strong individuals and that
it would be a film about strength and teamwork.

7. Poster Analysis 3
The Transformer in the background (Bumblebee) is
shown to be the protector of the girl and that it has to
do with something about them verse the world.
It also shows that they have some evil character chasing
them down.

8. Soundtrack
• Clip 1 – This clip represents the
man as an old man who fell asleep
in his chair.
• Clip 2 – (couldn't access the
soundtrack)

9. Shining
• This fan made trailer presents the shining as a
romcom, that it’s a story of a man finding
something that he needed in his life and that
he needed it to make the final push to finish
what he wants to do.

10. Scary Mary
• This clip presents Mary Poppin's is a scary
horror film, about a women haunting (and
possibly trying to kill) some children

- Have high up places in
jobs and normal have

and other such jobs

14. Iconography- Western
Western films are famous as they are
represented as being a rough and wild place
with no laws where people go around shooting
people and drink, breaking laws and robbing
banks and other places

15. Iconography- Sci-Fi
Sci-Fi films are famous because they show a
utopian-future, were the good guys have to find
some way to stop the evil threat that would destroy
society. All though some films show a dystopian
future or are some sort of horror in which it shows
some monsterous alien killing people for fun

16. Iconography- Fantasy
Fantasy films are popular because they show a
world that is not real, but have great story, they
represent an evil force being diffeated by some
hero that no one know about
