The magazine contained in this mix of reviews and articles involving video
games which is used to create incentive to purchase the products that can both
currently can be purchased and also products that will be released in the future.
This makes magazines a good form of promotion for the games used in the
magazine.
The magazine contains many bright colours which can be used to make the
magazine stand out above others while also using popular characters on the
front cover also makes the magazine more recognisable which could create
interest for people to buy the magazine.
The writing included also try to include as much detail as they can, without
making it excessive. This is so when people have a small look at it

The magazine can start by drawing a customers attention through the
initial pop of colour from the orange liquid compared to the darker
colours used around the edges. Once the interest is grabbed the writing
around tells things that would be appealing to the target audience
(middle aged women) which could tempt them to read more and buy the
magazine.
Lots of the front also include lots of headlines in each part of the cover,
this helps include as much relevant information at the front as possible
and creates an effective way of distributing information to the target
audience.
7. Existing Product
This magazine is successful to catch it’s target market (middle aged
men), one way it does this is through the short blurbs on the front cover
giving short descriptions of the magazine, this is because if you are older,
you will most likely want to read more rather than look at more pictures,
making this start off very successful for its target market.
Secondly, it has a very good background that suits its theme(fishing) very
well. This is because it shows an interesting situation involving the
theme which may make customers want to know/read more about this.
8. Research Analysis
● I plan to use this information to first use everything I found involving my target market and re-creating it
in my own way. I then also will use the information from target markets that do not involve mine as an
example of what may not work in my final design for my target market.
● The main common feature the products use is the use of bright bold colours as these can pop out over
other magazines which will catch customers interests easier.
