As the owner/operator my job is to assist clients with everything from hiring vendors, negotiating contracts,
planning itineraries, seating arrangements, décor, managing budgets, and ensuring that events run as smoothly as
possible. RaKyn Hall of Fame hosts a variety of events ranging from weddings, parties, comedy shows, casting calls
and pop up shops just to name a few. The hall holds 250 people in a traditional setting and 150 comfortably seated.
The beautiful covered patio is lined with palm trees and offers additional seating. Aside from event planning and
client management, I also prepare monthly budgets and cost estimates. I manage digital media marketing and have
established solid relationships with vendors which allow me to always acquire the best products and services available
in a timely manner. In addition, I recruit, hire, coach, manage, and support both permanent and temporary staff
members.

Responsibility Highlights:
My top priority as managing partner of the boutique was sales. In order to achieve my financial objectives I
prepared annual budgets; scheduled expenditures; analyzed variances; initiated corrective actions; formulated pricing
policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determined additional needed sales promotion; authorized clearance
sales; studied trends and ultimately sold hundreds of thousands of dollars in merchandise.
The quality and importance of customer service was paramount in the industry so I identified current and future
customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actualcustomers and other persons in a position to
understand service requirements.
Daily operations included maintaining boutique staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining
employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. I also maintained operations by initiating, coordinating,
and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. In addition to scheduling and assigning
employees and following up on work results, I protected employees and customers by providing a safe and clean
boutique environment and secured merchandise by implementing security systems and measures. I marketed
merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements
for profitability ratios. I determined marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and
departmental sales records. I maintained the stability and reputation of the boutique by complying with legal
requirements and reviewed professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional
societies. Essentially, I contributed to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Advertising contributions included creating ads and developing ad placement on street cars,bus stops, and print
ads for local and national publications. Also, responsible for Serenity Spa and Boutique being recognized by the Ellen
DeGeneres Show as guests received Spa and Boutique gift cards. Under my leadership Serenity Spa & Boutique was
voted Gambit’s Best of New Orleans in both 2012 & 2013.
As a buyer for the boutique I ensured availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts and
maintaining inventories, acted as boutique curator by assembling timeless yet trendy ensembles. I analyzed consumer
2. buying patterns and predicted future trends as well as regularly reviewing performance indicators, such as sales and
discount levels. I managed plans for stock levels, reacted to changes in demand and logistics, and traveled to attend
fashion markets, to select and assemble a new collection of products. In addition, I participated in promotional
activities, wrote reports and forecasted sales levels, liaised with shop personnel to ensure supply meets demand.
Styling was in high demand as it pertained to the everyday woman as well as severalcelebrity clients such as
Angela Bassett,Sherri Shepherd, Vivian Green and Dottie Peoples just to name a few. I also had the opportunity to
provide boutique fashions for severallocal and regional movie sets such as American Horror Story, Housewives of
Atlanta and Married to Medicine to name a few.
I coordinated boutique events during Essence Music Festival with local and national celebrities such as Avant,
Raheem DeVaughn, Robin Roberts, Lisa Nicole Cloud, Tamia, Wendy RachelRobinson, Kourtney Heart, MC Lyte,
Adrian Long, Nicci Gilbert and numerous others.

Responsibility Highlights:
In the absence of the regular classroom teacher my primary duty was to help students to learn subject matter
and/or skills that are required for scheduled lessons and to provide meaningful instruction for assigned classroom. I
created a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the
students and guided the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in
the lesson plans for the lessons, units, or projects assigned. I maintained a neat and orderly classroom by straightening
chairs, tables, setting up and securing computers, etc.
After learning the procedures for referring students who are disciplinary problems I indicating to students at
beginning of class the basic expectations for behavior in the class in accordance with school and OPSB policies. In
addition to teaching I was required to follow other related duties as directed by principal such as lunchroom duty, hall
monitoring, sign-in and out etc. as well as coordinating events such as open house, Come Play with the Bears,
Christmas Programs, Black History Programs, Principal’s Meetings and Staff Development and the creation of several
bulletin boards throughout the school.

Responsibility Highlights:
