Facebook was the most popular social media network among marketers worldwide as of January 2021. According to a global survey, 93 percent of respondents who utilized social media for business promotion used the platform, while another 78 percent used Instagram. The most widely used social network in the world is Facebook, which has around 2.8 billion active users.
Because of this, the market leader continues to be the most significant social media platform for marketers on both the B2B and B2C ends of the spectrum. Social media marketing has rapidly grown in popularity and effectiveness over the past few years. Advertising companies have instant access to billions of prospective clients thanks to the sizable user bases of these platforms. The improved exposure for their brands and products as well as the increased traffic to their websites are just two of the many advantages of using social media platforms for business. A global study on business-to-business and business-to-customer marketers' use of social media platforms was carried out in the early 2021. Facebook is used by 89% of businesses to market to other businesses, while 96% of businesses use it to promote to customers. In B2B, companies can serve their audience by sharing curated news and best practise material to aid people in developing their skills and professions. In contrast, in B2C, there is less opportunity for sharing news and advice, thus brands tend to share more original content relating to their goods and services.
B2B organizations frequently use social media with the goal of dominating their respective industries, whereas B2C enterprises are motivated to persuade clients to make a purchase.
There are currently 34.47 million active social network members in Canada, where social media usage has been steadily increasing for years. One of the most connected online communities worldwide, Canada boasts an 89 percent social network penetration rate. With 78 percent of social media users in Canada using Facebook, it is the most popular social network in that country.
In Canada, there were about 30.4 million Facebook users as of June 2022. Twenty-four percent of users were in the 25 to 34 age range, which made up the bulk of users. Only 4% of users were between the ages of 13 and 17 years old, while 18.4% of users were in the 35 to 44 year age bracket.
