1. Story Board Adaptations and Changes
As a group we have decided to change the ending to our narrative aspect of our
music video. Our MAP 3 review showed that our tutors found the ending very
unclear due to the grainy shots of the old care home as well as the low key
lighting which doesn’t fit with the other narrative shots. This is a problem
because the makeup used to make our lead actress look like an elderly woman
doesn’t show up in the shots, therefore making her look like a young woman.
To fix this problem, we have come up with a new ending for the narrative, which
won’t affect the previous shots in the video, which will be filmed on the 18th of
January. The new shots will include the protagonist of the video, Lewis, walking
to a cemetery and placing flowers down on his grandmother’s grave. It will
include another red herring shot to keep with the idea of tricking the audience as
well as keeping the graves out of sight in the shots of him walking through the
cemetery as to keep his location from the audience.
We believe that this will enhance our overall grade by several marks and will
hopefully make the ending clearer for the audience. We also aim to keep the
same lighting as the other shots as to not lose quality in our work.
