GT Advanced Technologies EXPERIENCE:
I’m bound by a confidentiality agreement so I will generalize experiences and
achievements.
I was one of the first 200 direct hires in a start up Fabrication process.
1
2. Applied my years of experience in a Total Quality Manage m e nt environme nt
to improve processes when ever possible in ways of a visual work place,
organization and standardization ( 5S), ways of improving throughput,
processes and reducing setup times. I created a positive learning
environme nt while training new employees.
Integral employee helping to resolve process issues in a team environme nt
with coworkers and supplier to improve processes, recovery methods, and
standard operating procedures.
Operated equipment allocated for supplier and their product for Design of
Experiments testing.
Selected to work in areas where bench marking was their main objective
helping to clear up bottlenecks in the process in which the teams over
achieved those benchmarks.
I was selected with little notice to learn and work in other areas that
needed assistance.
Worked 100% of overtime asked, many 60 hour weeks, with little down time
using only 4 hours of vacation pay over 11 months.
Used Excel to keep track of real time product flow and planning to facilitate
quicker setup time and hourly output.
I worked as a team with a coworker to organize and document the process
flow visually of main equipment supplies making it easier and possible for
me to plan and supply all the machines in my area while reducing setup
times and having a continuous flow of supplies and reducing excess
inventory being unloaded in my area of operation while multitasking Design
of Experiments.

Helped to reduce excessive smoke by having bracket extended to turn switches on sooner and suggested light
weight aluminum air dams be made to reduce suction of good air so all smoky air would be sucked out efficiently.
Organized steel plates for easier access and suggested that they put them on location in excel reducing set up time
on the plasma cutter. The old process was to go out to the yard and see what you had, then dig out what you
needed. The plate was not always identifiable or markings would wear off. Wrong plate would be used or would
sometimes have to be discarded. Real time inventory is in place and nesting the parts on proper steel plate can be
done on the computer, reducing errors, keeping inventory up to date, and reducing setup time.
Organized all the plasma cutter supplies into procured Lista cabinet reducing the inventory. Received credit from
supplier for excess supplies as well as supplies that we would never use that were no longer compatible with the
current process. You can take a quick visual look of all inventory used in the process. Everything needed to run the
process is organized and in one medium sized Lista cabinet, eliminating a big cabinet and a large tool box from the
area and moving air hoses and gas lines to eliminate tripping hazards and easier access. The large tool box was
taken home and large cabinet is being utilized by different department. Documented the process for easier learning
and saved to the computer.
Cross trained on the 2 CNC mills used to make concrete block core’s molds for 6 months. Durma bender tooling
and the CNC tooling into two separate areas and took the tooling from three small pallets and organized it on one
large pallet for easier access to the CNCs. Found extra drawers for 2nd
table and added a top shelf to increase work
area and more space available to organize tools. Documented some of the programs and saved to the computer for
easier training.
Centered the process on the backing plates that determine the block angles saving the customer money on
material. The plate was off by 2 degrees.
Reviewed book, “Programming” by Peter Smid, on practical CNC programming. Came up with some ideas to
simplify and standardize the programs for quicker cross training and made the process more visual.
Kept the yard, which looked like a junk yard on hiring, into visual organized area which helped reduce loss of
inventory. Enthusiastically learned new processes and helped where and when needed utilizing value added time
when possible.

7. Hired as 5S Facilitator for AmBath Corporation
Made improvements to all the processes after gathering input from all associates and working closely with the
processes. Actively involved in the processes, making the work processes more ergonomic, efficient, and improved
effectivity. Reduced set up times. Drove to help create a more visual work place. I enthusiastically took on all
chores and duties asked of me. I took over driving duties and loading and unloading, as well as still worked on 5S
projects. Also put in long days when needed, 12 -14 hours over the weekend such as helping to set up and deliver
sets for commercials. Worked with the thermo former machines forming plastics, as well as shipping and receiving,
and some building maintenance. Put all materials into data bases for easy reference and organized materials to
reduce the time it takes to pull the material. Applied my 24 years of aerospace experience effectively that at the
recent trade show all the franchise owners noticed and were impressed with the facility compared to previous trade
show and commented that it looked like a world class manufacturing facility. I try to apply all my years of training in
aerospace to all, even the minute details, which improve details and document the process visually. I document and
organize all the processes with the thought in mind to make the processes easier and quicker to learn to do the job
efficiently. Lined up and reorganized packing areas to increase throughput. Redesigned packing podiums to reduce
wasted travel time and made the process more visual. All labels and packing supplies are easily accessible at each
packing station and color coded, and most used items centrally located.

Micro-Tronics / Accurate Water Jet
2905 S. Potter Drive
Tempe, AZ, 85282
Abrasive Water Jet Operator
While working at Micro Tronics / Accurate Water Jet I utilized organization skills and helped to move and maintain
equipment at Micro Tronics. I kept the shop clean and organized and planned ahead to keep the machines running
constantly with minimum setup times and with forethought to the other employees. The supervisor did most of the
programming but I was able to pick up some programming on my own. I did general maintenance on the machines
and set up a data base to document maintenance as well as to capture data on nozzle wear, Sapphire and Diamond
Jewel use to document advantages of one nozzle over another and Jewel use over Sapphire. I watched all videos
and read material on rebuilding the pumps but could use a little direction before rebuilding solo. I have read all the
interactive material in the computer and watched all the videos and am competent on most tasks.
