• Using AutoCad 2009 to draw small tooling components.

complete Cpk studies. Machine targets are 1.67.
• All new cell concepts are to be designed using Lean Manufacturing concepts for material and
process flow.

• Scrap targets dropped from 1.5% to 0.8 %.
• Process Engineering provided review of all the scrap parts produced across three shifts of
operation on a daily basis. From this review and subsequent monthly part data, a plan was
developed to work on the largest scrap reason. An example of this was a large blister issue on
a molded part. I conducted a mold vacuum review to determine the capability of the mold
vacuum system and improvements to that system to reduce blister scrap. Once the revisions
were implemented, further investigation was conducted to confirm and document the
improvement with cost justifications.
• Process review of production operations to combine two molds that had previously been
operated by two operators into one operator running two molds by increasing cure time in
both molds that allowed the operator to run two molds with increased efficiency.
• I have worked with QS and TS specifications to produce Standard Operating Procedures for
production floor operations and process.
• Helped produce training films for production operators.
• Produced PFMEAs for each specific part and process in my cells of responsibility.
