PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
QORVO, Greensboro, NC 2015 to Present
Senior Product Quality Engineer
Worked with development teams to identify and resolve product and technology reliability risks.
Enabled timely product releases and ensured excellent customer experience at assembly and in
the field.
Utilized data analysis to identify issues, lead cross-functional teams, and facilitated problem
resolution activities and contingency plans.
Interacted with all areas of the company and was an integral part in driving continuous
improvement across Qorvo.
CREE, Durham, NC 2005 to 2015
Process Sustaining Engineer, Die Singulation 2007 to 2015
Led effective and motivated team of technicians in performing process experiments, summarizing
data into PowerPoint presentations used by engineering management.
Attended weekly Joint Engineering Team (JET) meetings with Malaysia and China, comparing
yields across factories, transferring new processes and products overseas, and qualifying process
improvements which increased yield and decreased cost.
Drove cross-site and cross-functional team in development of root cause and corrective action
plans that resulted in an overall PNT scrap rate reduction of almost 50% over 3 months.
Directed team in meeting production timelines and achieving matching yields, lamp data, and
throughput by transferring products from R&D to high volume manufacturing overseas.
Increased feed-rates on DA product line by designing and implementing experiments with various
cutting conditions and implementing process, resulting in less dicing capital expenditures.

CREE (Continued)
Developed processes on TSK saws that matched RND performance on DISCO saws for some
processes, enabling full utilization of saw capacity at all sites and reduction in capital expenditures.
Reduced costs and purchasing lead times by increasing blade life on multiple products as well as
qualifying second-source vendors for blade reshaping, Mylar, and breaker I-Bars.
Worked with Automation Engineer in development of factory automation system on laser saws
which helped to eliminate operator errors in recipe selection and processing of wafers on hold.
Identified yield loss due to wide kerf on thin RT product line and pinpointed solution, gaining
approval from Process Control Review Board for implementation which resulted in 5%
improvement to die yield.
Process Sustaining Engineer, Back End Quality 2006
Drovereduction in defect levels by identifying source of defects and driving corrective actions with
the various process owners.
Worked with product engineering in reducing need for manual visual inspections which increased
throughput and reduced headcount requirements for inspections.
Process Sustaining Engineer, Automatic Visual Inspection 2005 to 2006
Created Recipe Best Known Methods (BKMs) which standardized inspections across tools and
fanned out recipes onto multiple tools and products, enabling production goals to be met.
Reduced return merchandise (RMAs) from customers through improved defect detection.
Coordinated with fab engineering in reduction of defect rates and process variation as well as
improvement of inspection process.
INTEL CORPORATION, Colorado Springs, CO 2000 to 2005
Fab 23 Defect Metrology Engineer
Improved monitor effectiveness in detecting killer defects and developed recipes to inspect for
photo-mask defects and equipment monitors, resulting in improved product yield.
Owned the STR layer and back end of a flash process, identifying dog processing tools and
ensuring proper corrective actions were taken by process engineers and technicians.
Utilized Amray SEM and HIT SEM Vision tools in performance of defect analysis.
Played key role in start-up of FAB 23 and process transfer to Intel Centrino Processor by directing
2 other tool owners and leading a cross-disciplinary Defect Metrology Process Area Team,
transferring products from development sites to F23.
