2. Target Audience
The first two questions allowed me to see who was
answering the questions in terms of age and gender.
It also gives me an idea of the target audience of my
magazine I am to produce e.g. If most sixteen year
olds I have asked answer a question saying their
favourite genre is rock then it gives an insight into
the target audience of rock magazines.
3. Artists and genres
I asked question 3, 4 and 5 to see if the interviewee
is actually a fan or have ever listened to the genre
Rock/Alternative Rock and if so then I could state
what band/artist they are interested in. I could then
perhaps use this band in one the stories in my
magazine.
4. Imagery
I asked question 6,7, 10 and 11 to help develop
ideas for the colour scheme of my magazine and for
ideas in terms of images on the cover of my
magazine.
5. Title
I asked question 8 as one of these words could be
used for the title of my magazine.
6. Price and Publication
I created question 9 and 12 so that I could see what
would be the desired price of the audience and how
often the magazines they read are published.
7. Content
Question 13 and 14 I created so that I could see what
the audience like and dislike about the magazines
they read. Thus allowing me to ensure I don’t include
what they dislike and perhaps highlight areas they
do like. Question 15 I also created to gather a
general opinion on free items, if most of the
audience answer yes then I may include a puff in my
magazine.
