get two different perspectives from at males to
females to mix the results together so my magazine

I decided to ask this question on my questionnaire to find out
what the range age was to find out what target audience would be best
suitable for the magazine, what I found out was that the biggest range was
from the age of 14-24 as I believe that’s the target audience for dance
music and not just a magazine, this question has helped me realise what
type of magazine I can make to ensure that my target audience likes it
and it fits in well with all the styles and colours so the readers wont want to
buy the magazine.

I Asked this question because I wanted to know a rough idea
on what sort of price my magazine would have. By looking at my results
you can see that the most popular answer for the price of a magazine is
around £2.00 - £2.99. This now gives me a rough idea on what to price
my magazine at and I will now know whether the price I wanted to do is
too high or too low with these results that I have been given.

This was a useful question to ask on my questionnaire as it tells
me when readers buy their magazine, it also helps me to decide on what
the frequency of publication and the size of the issue would be. Because
the most popular answer was monthly it shows me that the issue size of
my magazine needs to be big as it should be big enough to be able to be
published every month.

For this question I wanted to compare my content to what the audience
think. By asking this question it shows me what the target audience
actually wants to see in the magazine giving me initial ideas on what I
can feature on the contents page to make the target audience happy
and want to buy the magazine again.

I decided to ask this question to see what type of
artists/DJ’s/bands my audience liked and it would give me a
better view on the type of people the audience would want to
see in the magazine. This research helped me to decide who to
put into the magazine and what kind of variety of acts to put into
the magazine so it doesn’t look repeated and set out on the
same theme.

When asking this question it showed me what I could do on my
double page spread, it shows me that the target audience would
prefer to read an interview with an artist than facts about that
certain artist, this research was helpful because I tells me what I
can do for my double page spread to ensure that the magazine
is appealing to the target audience.

I thought that by asking this question I thought that it would be useful
to me to see what the audience wants and also to see what I could
involve in my magazine. By the result of this being that competitions
was the favourite answer it tells me that when including incentives in
the magazine then I can include a competition because its what the
audience wants.

When asking this question I wanted to know the three most popular
colours that my target audience like, and what they think relate to the
dance music. This research was helpful to me as it shows what colour
schemes and the house style of the magazine and seeing which colours
would look best on a dance music magazine.

I needed to ask my target audience this question because I wanted a
relatable word to fit in with my title of the magazine, when doing this I
wanted to make sure that my magazine title was catchy so that the
name would be remembered and recognisable. This questionnaire
helped me with my research because it tells me what words people
associate with dance music which is the genre that m magazine is
based around.

I chose to ask this question because I wanted to see what people thought
of different fonts and also what sort of type of typography I would need to
see what I could find so that it would make my titles and fonts that would
go into the magazine to make the font fit in well with the genre. This
question helped me with my research because it shows me what sort of
font I need to be looking for and what ones to stay away from.
QUESTION 12, WOULD YOU PREFER MORE IMAGES
THAN TEXT IN A MAGAZINE?

For this question I wanted to see how I could set my double page
spread out, by showing that the target audience preferred images
to text showed that I could make the images on the page bigger
to make it seem like there is a lot less text than people make out
that there is. This research has helped me decide the layout of
the magazine and shows what the audience likes. I can also tell
the audience information through images and it being more
effective so the audience find the magazine appealing.

I wanted to see that if my target audience were to read another
dance magazine then what would the competition be, Because the
top answer was no it means that I can look into other magazines
and see how they become popular but making sure nothing from
the competitors magazine is the same as what my magazine would
have.

By looking at my results you can see that the most popular answer for the price of a magazine is around £2.00 - £2.99. This now gives me a rough idea on what to price my magazine at and I will now know whether the price I wanted to do is too high or too low with these results that I have been given.

Because the most popular answer was monthly it shows me that the issue size of my magazine needs to be big as it should be big enough to be able to be published every month.

By the result of this being that competitions was the favourite answer it tells me that when including incentives in the magazine then I can include a competition because its what the audience wants.

This research was helpful to me as it shows what colour schemes and the house style of the magazine and seeing which colours would look best on a dance music magazine.

This questionnaire helped me with my research because it tells me what words people associate with dance music which is the genre that m magazine is based around.

QUESTION 11, WHAT FONT DO YOU PREFER FOR A DANCE MAGAZINE? 4 6 1 1 3 5 I chose to ask this question because I wanted to see what people thought of different fonts and also what sort of type of typography I would need to see what I could find so that it would make my titles and fonts that would go into the magazine to make the font fit in well with the genre. This question helped me with my research because it shows me what sort of font I need to be looking for and what ones to stay away from.

IMAGES – 18 TEXT – 2 For this question I wanted to see how I could set my double page spread out, by showing that the target audience preferred images to text showed that I could make the images on the page bigger to make it seem like there is a lot less text than people make out that there is. This research has helped me decide the layout of the magazine and shows what the audience likes. I can also tell the audience information through images and it being more effective so the audience find the magazine appealing.
