2. •I started by first placing my images down- the main image is of the band in
the double page spread article, and so it takes up two columns. The other
two images are subsidiary and relate to two of my other articles in my
magazine. I inserted them by using the picture box tool, you have to create
a box and select 'insert image', after inserting your image you have to
select 'scale picture to box'.
•I then added two black bars, by creating a text box and filling it. I then
added the words CONTENTS, REGULARS and FEATURES to the boxes, in red
and white writing, as a bold, eye-catching way of ensuring the audience
they are aware of what they're reading. I also remained to the colour
scheme red, black and white throughout my contents page.
•The main text is size point 11, as it follows the conventions of a contents
page in a professional magazine.
•Next, I added an information section in the bottom right corner, in red, so
that it stands out amongst the other text.
•I then added page numbers to the images, so the audience know which
article the image belongs to.
•Lastly, I added a strip to the bottom of the page containing the issue
number and website - I felt this added shape to the page.
•I also added, as a finishing touch, a copy of the magazine's logo onto the
top border, I did this by creating a picture box and taking a screen shot of
my front cover's logo and inserting it into the picture box, I created it to
remind the audience of the brand identity.
