1. Preliminary Task – School
Magazine
In this preliminary task we were asked to create the front cover
and the contents page of a school magazine. We had to have at
least one medium close up shot of a student on the front cover
of the magazine, including stories of what would be in the
magazine and also the name of the magazine (that we had to
make up).
We were told to do this task as a practice one so that we would
know the process of making a magazine before starting our
actual music magazine. This would help us to be more confident
in our decisions and being able to explore different ways of
making the magazine.
Doing this task will help me look at anything that I have done
wrong after its marked and then when making my music
magazine I don’t make the same mistakes.

7. The majority of the people that answered the survey were female. Using this
information I have decided that my target audience should be females
8. Due to the fact that the majority of the ages that did the survey were aged
12 to 18 I have decided that my target audience is going to be young
people.
9. I have decided that I’m going to do my magazine on RnB because the people
people in the survey mainly like RnB music.
10. Looking at the survey data I have decided to make my magazine less than £2.00. I
decided this because in the survey the majority of the people said that thy would
spend £1 to £1.99 on a magazine.
