Effective tips to avoid problems
01 Avoid unnecessary
meetings
02 Avoid confrontations
03 Lack of a clear purpose
or agenda
3. 01 Avoid unnecessary meetings
Ask yourself: Do You Really Need to Hold That Meeting?
Meetings that are too frequent, poorly timed, and badly run, lead to
losses in productivity, collaboration, and well-being for both groups
and individuals.
4. 02 Avoid confrontations
Healthy discussions are always great in order to generate new
ideas build by different perspectives, but you must be respectful at
the time you listen and share your perspective in a meeting.
Don’t use the meeting to place blame, and don’t tolerate personal
attacks.
Try to build consensus by using group nouns, such as ‘we’ and ‘our’,
and emphasizing common challenges or victories
5. 03 Lack of a clear purpose or agenda
Knowing the topics in advance and preparing the content will
contribute to a fluent meeting.
It is usually helpful, to be precise and plan the times for each item on
the agenda, that way the team won't run out of time and all the
topics will be held and discussed.
