Shooting Risks and Preventative Measures
1. RISK IDENTIFIED SHOOTING LOCATION RESPONSIBILITY PREVENTION
Illness or injury All Actor/ Camera man If any participants
involved in the making
of this music video
happen to be ill on the
day we have planned
to shoot, an alternative
date will be set to
shoot the video. A date
that all participants are
satisfied with.
Weather All outdoor shooting Nobody Prior to the shooting,
the weather forecast
will be checked so that
the participants do not
hit any unexpected
weather that could
potentially ruin the
shots taken as well as
valuable equipment. If
the weather does
happen to take a turn
for the worst, an
alternative date will be
arranged for shooting.
Full memory card All Camera Man If the memory card fills
up while shooting, we
will replace it with
another memory card
which we will carry
round at all times,
giving us 2x 8gb
memory cards. This
should be more than
enough to cover our
shooting for the day.
Low Battery All Camera man If the camera battery
runs out whilst filming,
we will have a car
nearby that can charge
the camera for any
length of time. To
prevent the camera
from running out of
battery quickly, it will
be charged each night
until the battery is full.
Lighting All Camera Man and Actor If the lighting does not
meet our needs when
we shoot, we will
create our own light
2. with portable lights
that we will have with
us at all time. However
for the most part, we
will be shooting in the
day so there is little
chance that this will
happen.
Location availability
and safety
All Camera Man and Actor To avoid clashing with
other students, we will
book out the studio
with a member of
staff, ensuring that
there will be no
interruptions whilst
filming our video.
Safety wise, we have
carefully chosen
locations that usually
are not dangerous so
that our video can run
smoothly without any
trouble.
Tripping Hazards All Camera man and actor Before shooting any of
the clips, we will
ensure that all the
shooting floor is tidy
and cleared of any
objects that could
cause a fall. If someone
does happen to fall
over any objects, we
will have a first aid kit
with us. Any serious
injuries with need an
ambulance to be called
and another shooting
day arranged.
Public Interference Outdoor locations Nobody It is not likely that the
public will interfere as
locations we have
chosen are either very
quiet or very busy,
meaning that even in
the very busy places,
people will be more
interested in getting
on with their business.
Software Indoor Camera man and actor The software could
possibly crash while
we are editing our
3. video. To prevent us
from losing work and
progress we will save
each step of the
process, making it
impossible to be a loss
to our film if the
software happens to
crash.
