Hardware Environment Design & Implementation. Manages datacenter infrastructure installs onsite and remotely for
10-20 SaaS domestic and foreign clients. Designs the physical hardware environment and creates extensive network
documentation regarding all aspects of installs—from logical network and physical diagrams, to switch port and IP
assignments—resulting in increased operational efficiency and overall reduction in costs.
Internal Operations & Project Management. Deploys, maintains, monitors, and configures internal IT infrastructure
components. Manages three junior network administrators as direct reports. Implemented VDI (virtual desktop
infrastructure) for 30 user MSP, streamlined file repository using SharePoint, and reduced power consumption by
moving to a 90% virtual environment. Built out DR site using clustering and DR technologies from VMware as well as
setup SAN replication with local and remote iSCSI SAN solutions. Architected 200 user Microsoft Lync 2010 migration
to a Lync 2013 deployment with high availability.
Relationship-Building. Acts as main point of contact between client and George Jon + Associates during datacenter
installs. Nurtures relationships with both technical and non-technical staff, including NOC (Network Operations Center)
managers, systems administrators, field technicians, senior support engineers, c-suite executives, and end users.
Troubleshooting. Resolves user software and hardware issues. Maintains ongoing relationships with
vendors/technical support as well as participates in the creation and amendment of best practices.
