and how it is bigger then her mouth ,it carries
on the trend of men being superior to women.
These words' are innuendos.
Goffmans theory suggests that men are most dominant in
advertisements and women are seen as less superior. This image
symbolically represents this idea. This is conveyed through the
positioning of the images and the words used, this advertisement is
aimed at only one sample which would be the men because they
would probably find the innuendos funny and not offensive . This food
advertisement still portrays women in a sexual way ,this is shown
through the positioning of the burger and her facial expression; her
mouth is widely opened and her eyes are full shock at the size of the
burger, this belittles the women and makes the burger superior to her.
The use of red lipstick symbolically represents her sexuality and in the
scenario her mouth is used to show this. Because the women's face
doesn't take up much of the picture she is seen as submissive and the
burger is more dominant ; however the lighting is focused on her face
and mouth to express the message this advertisement it trying to get
across.
