2. Plot
Jiminy Cricket is a crooked police officer trying to
haul out revenge on the man guilty for the murder of
his beloved wife. Billy Bob (the murderer) had a
violent childhood when he was younger he grew up
with cruelty in his home, his father who physically
abused him and also killed his mother. He was being
brutally bullied at school and not having any friends.
This is why he became a serial killer. Jiminy
ultimately finds Billy and arrests him and ends up
having a interview with the killer himself and tries to
get answers from Billy.
3. Influence and Theme (1)
Theme – Crime, Cop Drama and thriller
The two movies that influenced our group in making this
short scene was because of these two movies. Training
Day and Silence of the lambs.
Training day is a cop drama which has a person who
just starts fresh as a LA police officer who is a rookie who
is anxious to join the elite force, the leader of the team
gives the main character a shot at joining the elite team
and takes him out on a day with them but what he
notices what happens inside the group isn't all that great
and very corrupt.

4. Influence and Theme (2)
Silence of the lambs - A psychopath nicknamed
Buffalo Bill is murdering women across the Midwest.
Believing it takes one to know one, the FBI sends Agent
Clarice Starling to interview a demented prisoner who
may provide clues to the killer's actions. That prisoner is
psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a brilliant, diabolical
cannibal who agrees to help Starling only if she'll feed his
morbid curiosity with details of her own complicated life.
As their relationship develops, Starling is forced to
confront not only her own hidden demons, but also an
evil so powerful that she may not have the courage - or
strength - to stop it!

5. Outcome
On the whole I am very happy with our result bearing in
mind the amount of equipment we had, we managed to
get tracking shots, 180 degree rule and match on match
shots as well as these we also managed to get our lighting
done well to a reasonable degree, the lighting techniques
we used was bounce lighting, Oblique lighting, 45 Degree
lighting and Diffused lighting.
However within the time allocated which was about 30-
45 min, we had to press to film within that time period.
In one shot we were recording a over the shoulder shot
the subjects head was cut off in the camera as a result of
this we had to re shoot that specific scene to correct the
shot.
6. Planning
We had 2 weeks to plan to make this clip and in this
time we had done research on lighting, camera
angles, bio for the characters, assigning our group
with jobs, scripts, main reason for the event for
happening and the theme of the clip.
taken as a whole I am happy with our time
management for this video and it went well with time
management my group were very professional with
the filming even thou we are amateurs plus the
outcome was very enjoyable to watch.
7. Methods
The methods we used were story boards which helped us
visualise the clip before we had even started filming this
helped us come to a decision on how we wanted the clip
to look as well as what camera angles we had to use. We
also did risk assessments which helped us stay vigilant
within our field of work.
Nonetheless due to the amount of time we had for the
story board we were not able to add the amount of scenes
we wanted. But this was very effective and helpful in the
long run because it helped us visualise our outcome and
how we wanted it to come out.

9. Meanings 2
Diegetic - Sound whose source is visible on the screen or whose source is implied to be present by the
action of the film:
voices of characters
sounds made by objects in the story
music represented as coming from instruments in the story space ( = source music)
Diegetic sound is any sound presented as originated from source within the film's world Diegetic
sound can be either on screen or off screen depending on whatever its source is within the frame or outside
the frame.
Another term for Diegetic sound is actual sound
Non Diegetic - Sound whose source is neither visible on the screen nor has been implied to be present in
the action:
Non- Diegetic sound is represented as coming from the a source outside story space. The distinction
between Diegetic or non- Diegetic sound depends on our understanding of the conventions of film viewing
and listening. We know of that certain sounds are represented as coming from the story world, while
others are represented as coming from outside the space of the story events. A play with Diegetic and
non- Diegetic conventions can be used to create ambiguity (horror), or to surprise the audience (comedy).
Another term for non- Diegetic sound is commentary sound.
