2. My role
I supported the production process buy taking on a
number of roles, as lighting assistant we used the
effects of Reflected Lights, Key Light The main light
on the subject, providing most of the illumination
and contrast. As well as this we had to use back light
which is A light placed at the rear of a subject to light
from behind. We hoped to achieve a gloomy and
morbid effect with this technique considering one of
the characters was a villain. I also helped advise my
colleagues on how to film some of the angles
additionally I also helped with the scripts that we
had to say within our preliminary task.
3. Working within the team
I communicated well with my team we had meetings
with clear agendas we had meetings to discuss roles
we allocated jobs within our group we no conflict and
we worked well together furthermore we supported
each other when we made a mistake one of our
members did not hesitate to help and correct us in a
polite manner we had no conflict with each other and
we were very professional about it due to the amount
of time we had to do the task.
4. Challenges
one of the major challenges we faced while recording the
film was that the amount of time we had to meet our
deadline, this played a big role in how well the film came
out because it did give us the incentive to rush due to the
deadline we had, whereas if we had more time we could
of been more relaxed and made the film to the best of our
abilities however we were very professional about it and
we managed to capture a well constructed and framed
clips within the boundary of time we were given. As well
as this the cables also did get in the way sometimes as it
got tangled but it wasn't as major as time. This taught us
to be well prepared when planning during the planning
stages of production.
5. Equipment
Using the equipment was very challenging at first,
due to the fact we never used them and never had
any experience in using the equipment, but after a
while we managed to learn how to use the equipment
effectively to best fit our circumstances. As well as
this the wires were also a risk because my colleagues
could of tripped over them but we fixed this hazard
by wrapping them around the equipment to decrease
the length of the wire and reduce the risk. With the
camera we set it to Manual because this gives us the
ability to have more control over the image and best
fit our purpose like depth of field.
6. What went well
What went well in the filming was the tracking shots
and the lighting effects it gave the film more depth,
and the viewer a more visually engaging experience.
The tracking shot documented the character moving
through the corridor. The acting in the film was also
very professional due to the fact we were well
composed.
7. Even better if
We found areas of improvement whilst filming, the
camera framing was not constructed as outlined in
the story board this is due to the fact we didn't look
at the story board before the filming session as a
result there were some errors. when looking back on
the footage, with the framing we had issues of
accidently cropping the subject, next time we do film
we will take this into account and learn from our
mistakes and look at our story board
