6. These were my favourite shots of my male singer from the
photoshoot today. I wanted to create poster type pictures that
would feature on my contents page. I plan to experiment with
photo shopping these images, just like I did with my female
singer pictures.

7. Image 1 In this image, I have added more
tone and shadowing to make it
look more professional and
more like a poster. I asked my
subject to stand like this because
I wanted a casual pose. This was
at Kettering Train station and I
asked my model to stand in the
tunnel walkway because I
thought it would create a good
background. He is wearing what
many boys at 14- 18 years old
would wear. By wearing what
many others would wear, it can
relate to the theme of Maslow’s
theory of belonging. People are
supposed to find this male
singer inspiring and look up to
him and potentially copy his
style.

Here I included the guitar to
show that he is a
singer/musician. I asked him
to look directly at the
camera as most of my other
shots where looking off
camera and I wanted to try
something different.
Teenage girls will like this
photo because they will feel
as though he is looking
directly at them. He is the
sort of male singer that has
a huge female fan base, so
this poster will make them
want to buy the magazine.
9. Image 3 On this image, I decided to
enhance the blue in the sky and
add more shadowing to the
model. This creates a better look
as you can see more of the face.
I chose this background because
it could show that this male
singer likes being outdoors. It is
a close location to where he lives
as well, so this could represent
somewhere where he feels at
home. Again, I asked my model
to look off camera, because I
think it creates a more edgier or
mature look than it would using
direct address and smiling. I
wanted the picture to look more
mature as my target audience
are maturing, so the role models
in my magazine need to be the
sort of people parents want their
children to look up to.

When editing this image,
I thought that it would
look good as an album
cover. I thought that by
making the blue in the
mirrors and glass
windows stronger, it
added more depth to
the shot. My male model
is looking directly at the
camera which would
attract more teen girls as
they would feel that he is
looking directly at them.
