4. The past seven days
In the past seven days I have been following up on Star.
These are the topics that have been written about my client in the past week.
Shane Dawson made a documentary featuring Star and viewers are going crazy
We find out who Jeffree Star really is behind closed doors and we find out more about his
past that has never been spoken about.
Because of the documentary we learn about my clients music career, so that is currently
resurfacing.
Star, being the big influencer he is, may have just convinced Twitter to add an “edit” button
to a future update.
Star’s Alien Pallet is coming out soon and consumers are now finding out when and where
they can buy it.
Star films a Halloween themed video where he turns into Voldemort with the help of
another makeup/FX artist.
5. The good
My client Jeffree Star is an enormous influencer in and outside
of the beauty community.
He is an internet celebrity, and entrepreneur and a musician.
Star started his own line of Jeffree Star Cosmetics with very little
money and has managed to expand his brand into the empire
that it is today.
My client was the most followed person on MySpace at one
point.
Now he has even a greater number of followers on Youtube,
hitting just over 11 million subscribers.
Star is a jack-of-all-traits, he is generous to others and always
looking for the next Youtube influencer.
6. The bad
Star, like most beauty gurus has suffered from being in the spotlight at all times.
My client has had his drama between friends publicized time and time again but he
tends to handle situations appropriately.
In the early 2000’s a video was taken of Star where he used harmful, racial slurs at
two people who were calling him names. He has defended and apologized for this
video many times and hopes to be forgiven some day for his past.
Overall, Star hasn’t been in any recent feud or drama besides maybe between other
makeup artists.
7. Who is Jeffree Star?
Star is a makeup artist, a YouTube star, a model and a singer
He is 31 years old
He is the owner and founder of Jeffree Star Cosmetics
His YouTube channel has over 11 million subscribers
He started wearing makeup in Junior High
Jeffree moved to Los Angeles after graduating High School
He is one of the most popular MySpace users of all time
He identifies as Androgynous
8. Potential defamations
Yes, my client may seem at high risk for some defamation cases but if he is hired we
can monitor what he says and make sure we cover both our client and ourselves from
potential suits.
If my client writes or says something on his channel or social media it may have the
potential to tarnish someone's reputation since he has such a large following.
However, Star speaks only his opinion and makes sure that he states that it is his
opinion only and consumers may have different experiences.
Libel suits are a risk for any client but I know we could avoid conflicts with Star.
9. Reason to take on this Star
Star has a rising following.
He has his own brand and we need to maintain that reputation.
His brand is expanding exponentially.
He is a hard-worker and has shown that through his time and commitment to his job
as an influencer, a promoter and a entrepreneur.
He is a jack-of-all-traits. He’s involved with music, modeling, makeup, entrepreneur
and influencing.
His record with drama between other makeup artists needs to be handled and we
can help him maintain a clean reputation.
The more opportunities he has the more we have to work with. It is important for
someone like him to have someone like us.
