2. Logo Name
• We decided to name our Production Company “Paradox Productions”.
• Overall we really like the name “Paradox Productions” as it’s generally quite
a memorable name and sounds quite unique in its own way.
• Also when looking up the meaning of ‘Paradox’ it means “a contradictory
statement or proposal which when investigated may prove to be true.” This
links very well to the film media in general, specially the horror genre as
many ideas in horror films like monsters and demons, arguably come out as
a paradox within the story line.
• Also when asking several people about what they though of the name we
got very positive results.
3. Production Company Logo
• The image on the left is our final Production Company Logo.
• The logo itself links very well to the overall medium that our
company is going to be known for, which is film and cinemas and
the shape of the logo is in the shape of a traditional and quite
vintage video camera.
• The name of the company itself has been placed within the main
body of the camera to make it quite eye-catching and noticeable.
• I decided to go for more of a simple black and white colour
scheme/palette as I really like how the two colours contrast well
with each other and make the overall design look quite neat and
aesthetically pleasing.
4. Process and Development
• When making the logo I decided to use ‘Adobe
Fireworks’ as I am quite familiar with the program and its
generally a great program for making logos.
• I had to make the individual shapes to make the overall
outline of the camera then added a bevel to the sides to
make the shapes seem slightly 3D.
• Once I had made the camera I then added the company
name ‘Paradox Productions’. I decided to use ‘Brush
Script Std’ as the main font for our logo as I really like
the style and think it fits well with the background.
5. Alternative Logo
• The picture on the left is the initial logo design that I had for
our company.
• In this logo I had a sort of swirl/spinning effect in the
background as if the text is appearing from the centre point.
• I thought it was quite an interesting design overall and so did
the rest of my group but in the end we alI decided that the
camera design was more relevant and generally more
interesting
• I kept the same font and colour palette in the main logo as I
really liked the colour scheme and font style.
