2. To make sure we followed the template we
created for the film review we created
margins in InDesign first.
3. We then looked for a background which was
appealing and would fit the look we were going for.
This black background seemed appropriate as it
represents the dark themes and the night-time
setting of our short film.
4. We added the images first to start building
the structure of our magazine, so that we
could see how much room we had for text.
We had to adjust the colour of the images as
we wanted it to be set in the evening and the
images were taken pre- colour grading.
5. We used the font ‘bebas neue’ in bold for our
title as it stands out and is easily legible,
making it an appropriate choice for a
magazine.
6. We had written the film review up on
Microsoft Word before we began to put
together the film review as Photoshop doesn’t
bring up spelling errors. We also showed it to
several people for checking, two of which are
studying English.
7. We numbered the magazine pages, as it is a
convention of film reviews in magazines.
8. We thought adding a few visual bits and bats
would make the film review look better.
