2. How we achieved a sense of branding
• Throughout our produdcts we tried to create a consitent look/feel to acheive
a sense of branding. We used techniques such as choices of colors (themes),
fonts, layout, images and logos.
3. Color
• The choice of color is extremely important, originally we did a questionaire to try
and determine what our audiecne felt was the most appropriate theme color.
Originally we wanted to work with a blue color scheme, this idea was removed
through as the color was to pale. After creating the website the purple color was
found, we decided to move forwards with this color and use it on our postcard and
film logo as well. Further more we consistently used the red color on the two E’s
throughout our products.We chose these colors as the purple works well on
mutiple backgrounds and can be combined with mutiple colors without becoming
a mess.The red E’s were used as they make the font stand out more from any other
text or images.
4. Fonts
• We felt it was important to use a very professional font, as we were trying to
create a sense of it throughout our products.We were aiming our products
are an extremely large audience which meant we had to go with something
deemed appropriate for everyone.We used a special font called ‘Jeepers’ for
the titles, this was taken from a free online website. It gives the title a bit of
flair and makes it stand out. For other texts Georgia was used as it is
simplistic and easy to read.
5. Layout
• For our layout we followed a conventional short film template for the website. It
was created using a website called WIX which gives you a template.To brand
ourselves we used the same images on the websites as well as the postcard, the
images represent our film therefore by being spreadout on products the audience
can familiarise themseleves with our products. On the website we most of the
functions were premade and very simple in terms of navigation.Throughout our
products we laid it out with little text and more images, as in general our film is not
very fictional and does not require a lot of explaining but the pictures create an
emtional connection to the audiences and we did this throughout our products.
6. Images and Logo’s
• This is one of the main features in terms of branding, our logo which was
created onWIX is vital to the audience to create a visual sense of branding.
For our project we used many similar images as we can create visual
pleasure for our audience and little text in order to engage more with them,
especially the slightly younger demoggraphic.We used our production
company at the top of every page on the website and also the postcard to
give the audience a constant reminder who the producers are and how our
products are branded.
