<p>Cover Letter</p>
And I thought putting an ad on TV, participating in a focus group discussion followed by seeing a billboard
signage with my brand message was the core of businesses success. It took 1,288 hours, 244 students, 9
universities, 3 Microsoft marketers and one mega event to make me realize that for a business to succeed in
today’s world, it must have a vigorous digital footprint. I strongly believe that without a robust digital marketing
strategy in place, acquiring new client, sustaining current ones and impactful revenue generating opportunities
will likely be damaged.
For all the above, digital marketing for me is not just a career, it is a very strong passion. I currently work as the
Community Lead for Nokia Maps for the MEA region. Over the past 1.5 year, I have been working very closely
with Nokia/Microsoft marketing team on several marketing projects including the famous crowd sourcing
project that won us several awards on the Microsoft and Nokia side. While my role entails applying digital
marketing strategies on the communities we open in the 70+ countries I am responsible for, it remains part of
my role. I am very enthusiastic about digital marketing that I want to spend 100% of my time doing just that and
hence sending my CV to you.
My passion for digital marketing has grown tremendously since then that I went all the way to Ireland to earn a
Digital Marketing Degree from the Digital Marketing Institute in Dublin, Ireland. I even started applying for
Google Certification and already received my Mobile Apps Analytics Certification and applying for more on
Analytics, AdWords, conversion, organic and paid search and everything else there is.
I really want a chance to prove myself in this field and I have no doubt you will come to consider me an excellent
asset and someone who is very eager to learn and constantly challenging himself to achieve more.
Just to recap, I have a:
 Solid foundation in marketing affairs: As a Community Lead for MEA, I have been responsible for
developing and executing a crowdsourcing project along with the Microsoft marketing team that led to
a 55% increase in Lumia phones sales in Oman quarter on quarter. I have been awarded by Nokia team
for the results achieved as well as by Microsoft team for the marketing results achieved with the
marketing team. I have worked closely with Microsoft marketing team for over 1 year and learned a
multitude of skills including but not limited to: creating a 360 marketing plan, conducting qualitative and
quantitative consumer research, securing sponsors and conducting events along with media planning. I
have also gained extensive experience in giving marketing presentations to the management and
external business stakeholders.
 MBA & Digital Marketing Institute Diploma: I have finished my MBA with
several courses in management, marketing, market research and
consumer understanding. I have also travelled to Ireland on my own
expense to get a degree in Digital Marketing from the prestigious Digital
Marketing Institute in Dublin to strengthen my digital marketing

I am a very passionate Community Leader responsible for the Middle East and Africa region with strong
association to the digital marketing field. I have strong understanding of current online
marketing concepts, strategy and best practice and I have a degree in Digital Marketing from
Ireland's Digital Marketing Institute. I have been consistently rated exceptional and I bring
proven experience in delivering innovative complex projects on-time, under budget, meeting
milestones and communicating effectively. Notable qualifications include: Digital Marketing
Degree, PMP Certified & MBA holder. I initiated an award-winning crowdsourcing project in the
region that later became a case study in both Nokia and Microsoft and is now being rolled out

Designation – Community Manger – Middle East & Africa
- Initiated a full revamp of the communities approach currently being followed globally where traditional
methods of approaching student directly are deployed. The new plan is a comprehensive digital plan where
students will be crowdsourced online through the following:
 Devising strategies to drive online traffic to the crowdsourcing website
 Tracking conversion rates and making improvements to the website
 Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns that increase conversions and referrals
 Utilising a range of techniques to reach communities online including SEO, Display and PPC
 Devising and executing the social media strategy for the company
 Managing online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness.
 Planning and controlling the budget of all digital marketing initiatives in the region
 Evaluating online research, market conditions and competitor data.
Designation – Team Lead & Project Manager for Oman & UAE
Marketing & Managerial Responsibilities:
- Initiated, developed and executed Nokia HERE’s first ever crowdsourcing project with great success of
accumulating over 10,000 KM of roads, 25,000 places and 7 sponsors to the project as well as an
increase in smartphones sales for Nokia devices at a 155 index quarter on quarter.
- Worked closely with Microsoft marketing team for over 1.5 year on the crowdsourcing project and
participated in several marketing initiatives
- Recommended to the global operations team a new solution to collect street data that replaces the
current cumbersome world-wide used handheld system. The new solution has more features and
collects data with better accuracy at a fraction of the time. Global is now considering adopting the
project and changing the data collection system worldwide.
- Set up and kicked off the handover of the crowdsourcing project to the rest of the global markets in
Europe, USA and Asia to replicate the initiative.

It took 1,288 hours, 244 students, 9 universities, 3 Microsoft marketers and one mega event to make me realize that for a business to succeed in today’s world, it must have a vigorous digital footprint. I strongly believe that without a robust digital marketing strategy in place, acquiring new client, sustaining current ones and impactful revenue generating opportunities will likely be damaged. For all the above, digital marketing for me is not just a career, it is a very strong passion. I currently work as the Community Lead for Nokia Maps for the MEA region. Over the past 1.5 year, I have been working very closely with Nokia/Microsoft marketing team on several marketing projects including the famous crowd sourcing project that won us several awards on the Microsoft and Nokia side. While my role entails applying digital marketing strategies on the communities we open in the 70+ countries I am responsible for, it remains part of my role. I am very enthusiastic about digital marketing that I want to spend 100% of my time doing just that and hence sending my CV to you. My passion for digital marketing has grown tremendously since then that I went all the way to Ireland to earn a Digital Marketing Degree from the Digital Marketing Institute in Dublin, Ireland. I even started applying for Google Certification and already received my Mobile Apps Analytics Certification and applying for more on Analytics, AdWords, conversion, organic and paid search and everything else there is. I really want a chance to prove myself in this field and I have no doubt you will come to consider me an excellent asset and someone who is very eager to learn and constantly challenging himself to achieve more. Just to recap, I have a:  Solid foundation in marketing affairs: As a Community Lead for MEA, I have been responsible for developing and executing a crowdsourcing project along with the Microsoft marketing team that led to a 55% increase in Lumia phones sales in Oman quarter on quarter. I have been awarded by Nokia team for the results achieved as well as by Microsoft team for the marketing results achieved with the marketing team. I have worked closely with Microsoft marketing team for over 1 year and learned a multitude of skills including but not limited to: creating a 360 marketing plan, conducting qualitative and quantitative consumer research, securing sponsors and conducting events along with media planning. I have also gained extensive experience in giving marketing presentations to the management and external business stakeholders.  MBA & Digital Marketing Institute Diploma: I have finished my MBA with several courses in management, marketing, market research and consumer understanding.
