1. Sing street:
Cinematography:
Shot/ reverseshotpoint of view- Connor entering his new school, another pupil
throws a rat at him. This shows heis not fitting in within the school.
Mid shot, not closeup of his face, to show himthe crowd. Doing this shows his
reaction to his new school. The audience sees Connor not being welcomed within
the schooland that the pupils that go to the school are violent and outspoken. It
also shows thatConnor is nervous and shy.
When the camera was moving when Connor is walking through the school, it
shows thesetting of the scene and how the students interact with each other.
Editing/ Sound:
Simples cut between mid-shotof Connor and his point of view. This shows that
Connor justwants to get through his firstday and wants to start making friends
and fitting in. The editing shows thescene fromdifferent angles/perspective.
Non-diagetic scoreis busy and loud, suggesting that he is lost and is in a mess of
people. You can hear this through the comments aimed at him and you can also
hear the slap of the head-butt in the fight. Connor also has the feeling of being
the outcastin school.
Mise en scene:
This scene has majority of teens in it. There is a group of tough teens. Each
teenager is wearing a schooluniform which helps to set the scene. This then
shows independencewithin the school.
Italso shows thefight that is going on to representthe school.
Drive it like you stole it:
Sound:
Digetic sound- the band are playing the song
However it is a fantasy scene to show whathe wishes would go on.
