2. Myplansforthenextfiveyears
I would like to continue my current course until the end so I have more of
an experience into what I want to work towards in the future. I am really
enjoying my current course and I am looking forward to my final year as I
get to produce a piece of media I am passionate about. The piece of media I
want to create is a film, I’m not sure what about yet but I have time to
think about it and plan it out Thurley.
After my course is over I want to go to ual: University of the arts in
London and take a film course over there, at the moment the course I
would like to do there is film and television as the description of the course
includes everything I am looking for and wanting to do in the future,
however this could change and might be interested in a different course
that is similar but for now this is the course I want to peruse.
I’m not certain of what I want to do in my first year
out of university, I’m thinking about either getting
an apprenticeship in some kind of directing work or
getting straight into a job and work myself up to
becoming a director by maybe starting off as an
assistant on set or a second unit director . Either
way I still want to continue building up my
knowledge on film and creating my own productions
that I can be proud of, the more experience I have in
film the more likely I am to become a successful
director. I f for some reason I can’t find a job or an
apprenticeship after university I will look for one
that has something to do with film even if it’s
working for a magazine company that produces
articles about the latest films or creating posters for
up coming films, as long as it is linked to the film
industry in some way and will help be build my
knowledge further for the future.
I do know that I want to and need to have several
years of experience in directing in order to become a
successful director, so for the next five years I will
definitely be still learning and focusing on the job I
want.
