the front cover and the text surrounding it, with the masthead and other information at the top of the page.
• Language + Register: The language and register that is used appeals to adults as it does not give the amount of
information to grab an audiences attention than what it would need to for a younger audience.
• Images: The dominant image which is used concerns the topic of the edition which is Christmas so that the
reader has an immediate idea of what they are going to read.

• Language + Register: The language is suited for the audience and has average vocabulary on it and it
registers to the target audience of the locals by including local information.
• Images: There is one dominant image used in the background of the and a sub image to go alongside
the article.
• Colour Scheme: The colour scheme is predominantly red and white to go with the theme of the football
club of Sunderland AFC and the use of darker colours in the background to make it stand out.
• Fonts + Style: The fonts quite thin apart from the titles which have thicker fonts and the style is quite
boxed and professional.
