2. Front Cover
•
The title of the magazine is really big so it can stand out to
the readers. People will know exactly what magazine they
will be buying when they look at the title.
•
There is only one image, it is used in the centre and it
covers the majority of the page. This is because its the main
feature of this edition of the magazine. It has been done
deliberately and for readers to identify what the inside of
the magazine will contain. There is no other images on the
cover and this has been done so that nothing else diverts
the attention away from the main focus on the magazine.
•
The colours that are used are black, white, red and gold.
These are strong colours. They all compliment the cover
and it adds its own definition. Bold colours that will stand
out and attract the readers to buy the magazine. These
colours are associated with the genre and follows the
classic conventions for a magazine cover.
3. Contents Page

Another strong colour scheme. Again the colours are
the colours that most people would expect to see in a
rock magazine.
The title on the top right hand corner is there to add
its stamp on the page, reminding people of the title.
The pictures on the right contain information and
show the readers what they would expect to see in
the next few pages
The left shows what will be in the magazine and the
page numbers, again following conventions of every
magazine. There’s nothing fancy about it. Its straight
to the point.
4. Double Page Spread
• Another strong and
consistent colour scheme.
Some bright colours to
highlight key words or
phrases.
• Quotation of the artiste at
the top of the page to give
readers a glimpse of the
interview.
• Questions are highlighted in
white for audience to
distinguish the question and
answers.
• Artiste on the left, covers
the whole page
