Working Title:
BL Photography.
Product’s Purpose:
My product is a magazine that I will try to entertain people by adding mostly images for
them to look at and some information about it so that they don’t get bored of reading.
Genre:
My product is a photography editing themed magazine that will show the different process
I have used to edit an image. The images will be a mix of city, wildlife and sun sets.
Content
For content on my magazine I will be adding a few different things onto the cover and
inside. For the cover I shall add a small description saying about what will be in the
magazine and on which page, to interest the reader to look at it. On the inside one of my
ideas that I have had is to add an editing timeline. So with this I shall get a photo that I
took myself and edit it so it looks better. On each stage and process that I do, I shall
screen shot it and write what I did. After I shall put a before and after image to show the
difference. On another page, I am thinking of adding different images I have taken and
write about any effects and settings I used to make it look better.
Audience:
My audience will be aged 16-20 as that is the aged group that I had most responses. I
can also link to this age group as I am part of it and will know what they would prefer.
During my survey I also had more Reponses from the male gender, hence why I shall aim
the product at them. Like the age I can also relate to this gender and will have a first-hand
knowledge of what content to have. The audience I am aiming it at will be of a higher
social class as they need to be a bit wealthy to afford the equipment that the magazine
talks about. I feel that my magazine will appeal this bracket of audience as It is aimed at
people like me and I know what those sort of people would like so I can use that in my
advantage to improve it to my standard.
Legal & Ethical Considerations
With my product that I will make, I can be sure that it will not offend anyone in anyway.
This is because there will be no liking to any sort of group. I have decided that it will not
be restricted to younger people from using it as there is nothing about that could
misinterpreted or seem inappropriate in any way. I have made sure that it does not offend
any type of social groups/ religions/ races or ethnicities. I have done this by making sure
that there are no people in the images that could offend someone and by noting focussing
on any group that could be seen as a target. I only have one part about the product that
has a name and logo to it. The name of the product is ‘BL Photography’ which I made up
myself inspired by my initials ‘Benjamin Lawrenson’.
For the magazine I have also made a logo that has the lettering ‘BL’ interlocked together.
I made this logo on Photoshop. This product wouldn’t get sued for copyright as all the
images that have been used are ones that I have personally taken and edited myself.
