Working Title:
The title for my kind of magazine portfolio will be Through the Robyn’s eye. As this was the title
that got most votes in my questionnaire that I did to see what my audience would like it to be.
Product’s Purpose:
The purpose of my product is so that I can show off my photography, I will do this by showcasing
in a magazine kind of layout. This way I know that I can keep my work looking clean and
professional. This way it will be also easier for people to see my work and the skills that I have in
Photoshop as that is how I will be editing my photographs. My product will also be able to educate
people as in my questionnaire most people voted that they would like see written with the photos
why I took that certain photo which means that I could talk about a lot of thing. For example I would
be able to talk about the certain reasons I took that photo so it could be because I thought the
lighting was just right the way say the sun was coming through the trees. So I will be able to
educate people at the same because then when they go out and see something similar they may
take that photo. But my products purpose could also be to be able to inspire people to take their
own photos as to me nature photographs are just how people see the world through their eyes.
Another purpose of my product is that it could be able to help me get a job in the photography
business as it also can be a sort of a portfolio as I am showcasing of my photography and what I
am able to do.
Genre:
My product will be kind of a book slash magazine you could say. As my product will be very much
like a magazine apart from my cover as on my cover all I will have is one photograph in the centre
of the page and the title. But so that people know that it is kind of a magazine I might also include
an issue number at the top. My genre will also be nature photography so it will be photographs of
things like flowers, animals and more.
Content
My product is about being able to share with people my photography but also trying to inspire
people to see the world through their own eyes be able to see the beauty in the world that is
around us. I will fill the magazine pages with nature photographers and the people that responded
to my questionnaire said that they would like to see 2 photographs per page so to keep my
audience happy and what they would like to see. I will have 2 photographs per page and then I will
also include the writing of why I too that photograph. But I will make sure that the attention is
drawn more to the photographs as they are the main thing to my photography magazine. For my
magazine I will touching up my photographs in Photoshop so that I will be able to not just show
what kind of photographs I can take but also what skills I have developed in Photoshop and what
I’m able to do with my own photographs. I’m not too sure yet but I also might include the original
photograph as well so that people can see the difference between the two and can see what I
might have done to the photograph. This way I will be able to have 2 photographs per page like my
audience wanted. I will make sure that my product will look professionally as I possibly could so
that way it will be appeal to business people as long as just anyone that enjoys looking at
photography.
Audience:
My audience is for both genders as photography isn’t really just for one gender it can be for both
as all my product will really be is photographs of nature. So to appeal to this audience I will stick to
just a range of different nature photography so that I can make sure that I will appeal to both of the
genders. The age range that I have thought for my audience is 12+ this is because I think at this
age this is when you do start to find your hobbies and do start to respect stuff. So I think this is a
good age to start at as. I then said plus because photography I think really doesn’t have an age it
stops at. The social status for my product will be the social balance as anyone will be able to
afford my magazine as I wouldn’t make it cost that much because this way it will be able to appeal
to a wider range of my audience. I also don’t want my magazine to cost that much as well because
then people might not like my product as much if the cost is quiet high. Then my psychographic for
my product is achievers and emulators this is because achievers will see my product and might get
inspired to go out and take their own photos after seeing my photography and what I’m able to do
and show people. Then I think my product is for emulators because they will see my product and
want to go out and do it themselves as now a days I think that photography is becoming quite
popular now a days. Seen as you have things like Instagram so this is why I think my product will
appeal to emulators and achievers.

Legal & Ethical Considerations:
My photography magazine will not include any offensive material in it as all it will be is me
showcasing of my photography the pictures that I’ve taken and the skills I have learnt in
Photoshop. The only thing that could be offensive is my titles but I will make sure that they won’t
be offensive at all as all my titles will be is saying what the photograph is. As that way it will be
easier for people to know what the photograph is. In a way I am restricting younger viewers from
viewing my book. But only because I would like people to be able to respect my work and what I
can do and I just think people younger than 12 wont respect my product like I would like them too.
No my product will not offend and social group, religion or ethnicities as all my product will be is a
kind of book slash magazine full of nature photographs. To ensure I don’t offend anyone with my
product I will make sure that I always through my work and make sure that I consider everything
and make sure that I know for sure my product wont offend anyone. No my product will not use
any existing material as it will be all my own work. Even the photographs they will be my own that I
have taken myself.
